When we asked where do go for dinner many locals pointed us here. I was not disappointed. Menu arrived and just went for the set menu. Great service from all the staff. Food was beautifully displayed and tasted very good.

We were searching place where we could enjoy of local cusine... Naturally seafood. We got nice halibut (torsk), with bacon and potato. It was traditional dish for Christmas. Yes, it were nice. Yes we wanted local. We got it but nothing else. Visit once and it is enough. Service like the food is very very traditional, no extra trying. Like... More

Showing up without a reservation in the early evening, we were lucky to get the single free table. It seems to be a popular place, and rightly so. Located at Bryggen, one of Bergen's main sights (well, maybe *the* main sight, at least the most-depicted one), one could expect it to be some kind of overpriced tourist trap. That's most... More

Enhjørningen is a place that my dad used to take me when I was younger (and still does whenever he's in town) - shame that I didn't know to appreciate the food back then, cause it's amazing. As a Norwegian I'm used to the idea of fermented fish, crazy as it might sound, and it's really worth a try. If... More

We showed up just a bit after they opened and had to wait a bit to be seated. When we started our meal, we were the only people in the restaurant and started to have doubts. Once our appetizers arrived - we came to the conclusion that we had lucked out and beat the rush of people. We had scallops... More

For starters I had "rak ørret", a type of fermented fish. It was Bett than expected. For the main course I had cod with potatoes and bacon. This was unremarkable. The service was excellent, I even got a second glass of wine in time for the cod. The ambience is very cozy and Hanseatic. I will definitely come again!

First the surroundings. The building is in the world heritage site, wooden buildings leaning in all different directions making it an interesting visual experience. The staff fluent in English and good humoured and excelled at making it a total experience. Somewhat surprisingly they seemed surprised at the main course I chose explained it in detail and then brought me a... More

We had an enjoyable meal at Enhjorningen. What a wonderful setting - the interior was vintage, the staff were welcoming and efficient and the food was excellent. We went for seafood and the menu gave us a good choice. The scallop starter was very pretty and well cooked. The halibut main was fresh and beautifully presented. We did have a... More

A 400-year-old building with crooked walls and vintage décor was the perfect setting for a memorable meal. The name translates as "Unicorn" and it was that special. We had a prix fixe three-course meal, beginning with fresh asparagus with hollandaise and Norwegian smoked salmon. The main was fabulous, fabulous halibut on fennel. Dessert was local strawberries (somehow they tasted better... More

Thank friends in TripAdvisor for your reviews that made me went to Enhjorningen. The restaurant is on the second floor of the yellow building with the unicorn in front of it. I loved everything here: warm atmosphere seemed like sitting in the old days, great foods, delicious and high quality, very good services. I recommended to you the scallop and... More
