The restaurant is centrally located in the port of Bergen. You order and pay for the food at the counter and staff will bring food to the table. I had beef for dinner. Food was ok, but expensive.

Egon kjøttbasaren met us with outstanding service, amazing food and the drinks we’re even better. If you’re in Bergen and want a nice meal Egon Kjøttbasaren is the place

Over rated, over priced and over cooked. Never again for food. I think they must survive on the location alone and non repeat customers and I t’s simply not worth it. Shame as it is a great looking place and the idea of going there...is very tempting at first sight. The burger bun was greasy from the black grill fat and way over cooked. The fajitas were the worst attempt I have ever seen and nothing like anything anywhere else...not even sure we got the right dish to be honest. Chicken wings were ok to be fair. Beer was nice but the wine was served out of a box. Plenty of other places that do much better and greater value for money. Service was ok but some have a little arrogance about them like you should be happy with anything offered just ‘because’More

Great location, quite rustic. Good variety on the menu so something for the kids and really nice fish dishes.

Had a free night on a Sunday. Not a lot open in Bergen. Walked in to this place rustic and nice. No regrets at all.

One of the few places open on New Year’s Eve. Good pizza, excellent bruschetta. Be aware, the pizza is huge... enough for 3 people, we brought back our leftovers for a midnight snack. We had the pecan pie for dessert and it was really good.

Enjoyed a great lunchtime experience here whilst on a flying visit to this part of Bergen. The vintage Scandinavian atmosphere was captured in an enrapturing fashion within this restaurant. Heartily recommendable to any potential diners. Served all you can eat pizza buffet lunch by Andreas...who was very helpful providing menus scripted in the English language.More

They have a great selection of food. The staff will also help you out when needed. Outside seating is available, however it can be windy and cold sometimes hence we prefer to seat in the cozy yet dark area of the main restaurant place.
