Fish soup was good but not excellent. Mussels were very good along with the crispy fries. Herring was also dry good. Service was a bit snobby as were many of the guests. Also all food was brought all at once! This seems sot be popular with the locals as well.

Smoked salmon melts in your mouth. All different fish dishes (several in party) were excellent. Desserts and coffee were a great finish to fine evening.

Bryggelfort & Stuene is an excellent setting for a nice and reasonably priced--for Bergen--lunch. Classic motif and location right in old Bergen.

A place to enjoy Norwegian cuisine in a classy non touristy atmosphere. The tip is not to wait in line below but proceed up the stairs to enjoy a better relaxed meal. Enjoy local favorites from reindeer to venison to whale steak (when in season). Our guests enjoyed venison (not gamey like so much of venison in the States) to... More

Easy to find. Open late on weekends. Perfect place if you get in to Bergen late after your trip to the fjords. Halibut was delicious!

We enjoyed local seafood dishes & reindeer after a great explanation of the menu by our waiter. Great food & nice atmosphere on the wharf.

We ate here twice, as we found it had the best food that we found in town. The smoked whale was a nice change and I would go out of my way to have their salmon again. Service was attentive. It is located right along the Bryggen and easy to find. If you find a day that it is not... More

Had lunch here. Two floors. Service was a bit slow. Food was okay but nothing special. Found prices to be on the higher side (tourist area)

Our family came upon this restaurant accidentally and we are so glad we did! Amazingly good food and the decor inside is very inviting and unique. For lunch we sat on the lower level, and then made dinner reservations for the upper level- made it feel like another restaurant! Get the garlic bread- you will want seconds!

Description
The restaurant where the atmosphere makes all the difference. Enjoy dining in the fascinating atmosphere of the old warf, Bryggen, where the buildings erected by the merchants of the Hanseatic League between the 13th and the 18th centuries still stand.
