We booked early (several weeks before arrival and for 6pm on a Friday). Lucky that we did because by 7:30pm, it was nearly full with several large celebratory parties. Most popular is the three-course daily menu which comprises elk carpaccio, choice of catfish with unusual bacon and mushroom sauce or a steak/game dish and dessert of panna cotta. Not being... More

We found this quiet, hidden place after noticing chairs upstairs and asked the bar if we could sit upstairs to have a drink...to our surpriseshe said it was the resturaunt. After our first choice for dinner went wrong, we decided to try it. Arewe glad! Theinside is nicely decorated with oil paintings and a warm feeling. The starters were nice... More

This restaurant, which translates as Two Cooks, is located in one of the old Hanseatic buildings in the old town area. The décor is charming, and the food is excellent. In particular, we both had seafood and recommend it.

...no service no review. We had booked a table at 5 pm and showed up in the restaurant. There was no one to see or to speak to. We tried several times to call someone but no reaction at all. All we could see was someone sitting in a kitchen at the end of a long floor eating dinner. But... More

I had a great meal in this restaurant and was left pleased by the food, pleasant atmosphere and attentive service. If you are in Bergen for a short period of time and looking to enjoy good food do choose this one as it is I believe worth the money (bit more expensive than other restaurants around).

A warm welcome on a night when Bergen restaurants hopping. Ambience is nicely old world. We shared 2 starters and a main. Kitchen sent out 2 plates of each half portion. A very fine meal. Wine carte has good selection of half bottles. We started with white followed by red. To Kokker well worth ferreting out.

A table was booked in advance, and we wanted fish and we chose a 3 course menu. Catfish for the main course and this was really good! The Valpolicella wine as well. Panacotta was also a good ending for this meal. The waiter was swift and polite. You should visit this nice restaurant invthe middle of Bryggen

We both had a wonderful meal here, but I was much more impressed with the atmosphere and location in the old Bryggen than he was (maybe his fault, not the restaurant's!). On the pricier side, but we were learning to expect that for a nice meal by then.

We enjoyed our meals, they were delicious. I had the salmon and my husband had a white fish. The restaurant staff was kind and responsive to food allergies. The decor was very nice - you felt like you were back in the 1700's. Beautiful building. They take reservations.

We have 4 boys under the age of 10. We don't always get a warm welcome in most fine dining restaurants in Europe. But To Kokker welcomed these tired, hungry travelers. They were VERY accommodating by bringing some bacon as a side dish (to please the kids) and dividing adult dishes up. But then there is the food itself. Outstanding!... More
