This is a very nice restaurant in a beautiful old building. I had the dual fish plate (salmon and halibut) which included 2 full size pieces of fish, enough for 2 people.

Delicious fish Dishes. We recommend the catfish with bacon. Unlikely combination of ingrediënts, but it Works. The interior of the restaurant is very interesting, it is (or has been made to look like) an old Norwegian woorden house with dozens of paintings on the walls. There is one disadvantage to this restaurant : the wooden floors slope so much that... More

Once you've got used to the fact that the floor slopes (!!) and that everything is wooden, this is a brilliant eating experience. The Red Deer steak is to die for and everything is served by a cheery and attentive staff. Not cheap, but then most Norwegian food experiences are expensive

The restaurant is located in Bryggen, in one of the traditional buildings. Very formal, probably old-fashioned, atmosphere and decoration. The food was excellent, specially the elk carpaccio and the salmon. Price is high, but according to quality and location. Great option for a special dinner in Bergen

This is a fish restaurant. It truly was excellent. The fish soup had size able pieces of fish and was very tasty. The mussel soup had large juicy muscles in a broth that was meant to sip, not just mop up with bread. The steamed salmon and halibut were perfectly cooked. The restaurant is decorated with old paintings and photos;... More

We booked early (several weeks before arrival and for 6pm on a Friday). Lucky that we did because by 7:30pm, it was nearly full with several large celebratory parties. Most popular is the three-course daily menu which comprises elk carpaccio, choice of catfish with unusual bacon and mushroom sauce or a steak/game dish and dessert of panna cotta. Not being... More

We found this quiet, hidden place after noticing chairs upstairs and asked the bar if we could sit upstairs to have a drink...to our surpriseshe said it was the resturaunt. After our first choice for dinner went wrong, we decided to try it. Arewe glad! Theinside is nicely decorated with oil paintings and a warm feeling. The starters were nice... More

This restaurant, which translates as Two Cooks, is located in one of the old Hanseatic buildings in the old town area. The décor is charming, and the food is excellent. In particular, we both had seafood and recommend it.

...no service no review. We had booked a table at 5 pm and showed up in the restaurant. There was no one to see or to speak to. We tried several times to call someone but no reaction at all. All we could see was someone sitting in a kitchen at the end of a long floor eating dinner. But... More
