Although the food is good is in the same time very safe therefore quite boring. They found the key to Norwegian taste which is a lot of meat(ham) and a lot of cheese accompanying good bread so it's a success story. The people working there are rather nice, mostly Italians, friendly and relaxed. It's a very big place and very... More

As a lover of Italian food, the dinner on Saturday was a big disappointment. The 3 courses menu that I decided for did not offer starter and main course, but I could have main course and dessert. Strange. The starter was halibut and the fish tasted ok, but the vegs were tasteless and few. The dish was poorly presented. The... More

15 people for sharing menu (nr 3). In a crowded restaurant the food and drinks was served very quickly. Really good food, decent priced. Very good service from the effective staff.

If you're looking for an average Italian-like snack then go there. Yet, for the price one pays, there are several better places close around.

If one visits Norway one should expect prices to exceed those paid in the UK. Obviously the cost of living equates to the annual income of the local population but as the poor relations it can be quite daunting. So it was quite refreshing to find a restaurant where both quality and value for money sat side by side, highly... More

Frati is a nice and must place in Trondheim. Especialy the new store is nicly decorated. A place for coffe or food with a nice patio. Spotles clean place. Nice food, clean but nothing special. They are using good materials but they can t take full advantage of them. Personaly I think that the place is a little overated.

The pizza was delicious (shockingly so). The pasta was a bit on the salty side (we got the seafood pasta). Service was decent.

Love their salad that used to come with the pizza, that has changed...but still the best pizza in Trondheim!

Frati is the taste of Italy - in the middle of Trondheim. For over 40 years has the Italian restaurant served tasty dishes, and is known for its tempting appetizers, better dinners and a wide selection of fine wines. In the family run restaurant, good ingredients are spcied up with joy and friendly people. The hospitality is great, and everything is arranged for you to relax and enjoy an evening of good food and good company in a real Italian restaurant.
