Combine magic food, superb service and a lot of charm and humour and you have a perfect evening. We were met by a big smile and got our table at once. The serveiceminded waiter was there for us the hole evening, giving us the feeiling of being welcomed. Impressed!
We got two appetizers, where the fish soup was one of the best I ever have tasted. The four dishes we ordred was perfect cooced and delicious arranged. Exiting choice of cider and wine - absoloute a place to visit!
Nothing to complain about? No, nothing.
Best experience: The staff - friendly, serviceminded and a lot of humour!

We went here for a four course meal with perfect wine pairing to perfect balance between taste and presentation with small surprises in between. Intimate but still open light atmosphere. delicious and highly recommended!

In Trondheim it's not easy to try for Michelin stars, not now that we have quite a few. The food here was excellent, the service good, the wine choices (this set menu) were not. Not sure why, the owner team ran "Emilies" & the were a part of "Emilies Eld" restaurant. The main course was the star of the meal, Kalv Entrecôte with red wine sauce, the wine matched this course. The bathroom needs attention and the room is not warm and does create any ambience. I understand the problem with tables & space, but there is not much room to get around. Recommended.

Good localization in the city. The venue was ok. The light setting was a bit bright for dinner. The reception was OK, but from here the service was not very impressing. Started off by asking if we already had decided what we wanted for dinner without beeing presented for the menu either written or oral. Not asked what we wanted to drink for the food. Took a looong time to get the frist glass of wine and the starter. The waitress presented the food and wine, but used too much effort to tell her personal experiences. The food was a four. The service was a three minus. In a city with a lot of very good restaurants now, this will not be the first choice for the next dinner date.

Great bistro experience, delicious tastes, fitting wine and at a great price now in March April 2021! Fish soup is outstanding, as all other dishes. Few tables, order ahead.
Well worth a visit

Very satisfied with everything from service to food. The waiter was skilled, polite and pleasant. The food tasted absolutely delicious and the wine that was paired was perfect. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with not too many tables. Would definitely recommend Robust!

Incredibly good food and unique flavors. It's a shame that this restaurant is closed. I had char for starter, nothing to say about it. For the main course, it was entrecote of lamb. The lamb could possibly have been a bit more tender but, all in all, it was incredibly good. A nice dinner.

We had a great meal at Robust a Saturday night in March. Together with a young couple we very treated with the best menu, excellent drinks and service from a trained and very friendly staff. This was our first time at Robust, a restaurant we had read good reviews of the papers. We recommend the place highly and will, for sure, return!

Excellent food and service. Fine-dining on a stylish and yet easy approach. You get a lot of time to enjoy the menu and the dishes come perfectly as the evening goes on.

Really not nice. Food's good but that doesn't do it, when the staff are so bad.
We did didn't enjoy the dinner in total, due to the inefficient brat that served us.

I wanted casual fine dining and picked this place due to the high Google ratings. They were able to fit me in at a 5 pm seating with a 3-hour window. I opted for the 5-course meal with wine pairing.
Appetizer
Smoked salmon mousse on toast: perfect first bite
Cup of their signature cream of mustard soup. This was hearty and warming and made me excited for the rest of the meal.
1st Course
Smoked salmon with sour cream, tomato chips, and cucumber balls. This was very well balanced and went well with the Riesling. It was a surprisingly large portions (all their portions were large except the cheese course).
2nd Course
Cream of mushroom soup. This soup was good, and I enjoyed the presentation, but it was a little heavy on the acid and needed a bit more balance to be perfect. I do not remember the red wine served but it was a perfect pairing with the soup and helped cut the acidity.
3rd Course
Tenderloin with barley, parsnip, and kale in a red wine reduction with a side of cauliflower over sour cream. This is where the meal got a little wacky. First, this portion was way too big for a 5-course meal. Second, everything was drowning in the red wine reduction which was too sweet. I asked about the sauce and was told that there was sugar in the red wine reduction. (???) One does not add sugar to a red wine reduction. Ever. The cauliflower with sour cream helped balance out the sweetness of the sauce and went well with the meat. Overall, it was a fine dish but should be plated on one plate with a smaller quantity of barely and sauce. The cauliflower and sour cream should be added to that plate (again in small quantities) to provide a more balanced plate.
4th Course
Chesse course. After three LARGE pours, I was not thinking as clearly, but this cheese was perfectly portioned with a fruit compost (sorry I don’t remember what fruit) and toasted oats. The dessert wine was a perfect match.
5th Course
Dessert of Ice Cream. In a separate dish was meringue stars and a macaroon. I combined the two for the photo and because the meringue stars complemented the ice cream. The macaroon was delicious but felt like an afterthought. This was the only wine pairing that just did not go well. It needed a port or other deep, rich dessert red wine.
The one waitstaff was very friendly and made sure to describe each dish and check on me regularly. The chef did come out of the kitchen to serve most tables but did not stop by my table. If you are going to leave your kitchen, make sure you stop at EVERY table as hitting all buy mine felt like a slight.
Overall, this was a great experience, and I would recommend.

I've been here a couple of times before (including previous Emilies with the same chef), and have always been very pleased with the service and servings. They serve a 3,4 or 5 course set menu as well as a-la-carte, with a wine pairing. On this occasion I was, however, disappointed. We ordered the 5 course menu with wine pairing, and the fist three courses were quite good - the smoked salmon and mushroom soup were excellent (though a little bit too salty). However, the main course with tenderloin was not up to the standard you would expect - it was well done (not rear/medium) and the barley risotto tasted like porridge where you actually could taste the flour. The service was not as expected - it was slow, no refill of water, and no response to our complaining of the food. So unfortunately poor service and quality of the food related to the €350 we paid for the meal.

The food was excellent. Might be a bit acidic but that comes down to taste. Great wine pairing and excellent staff.
