Finally we got to visit this pearl! We had the 20 course tasting menu which blew all my expectations. The pairing of the wines were also truly on point. While the initial greeting felt a bit chaotic and we were left to wait 15 min in a reception area before being shown to our table, a concept which can work with some improvements, the rest of the night was a unadulterated delight. The food...was excellent, with an excellent dashi, brewed tableside, and the best duck breast I’ve ever had as highlights. The service was great, particularly the sommelier Eila, who was both incredible knowledgeable and friendly. Fagn, without a doubt, deserve a second Michelin star. It is a boon to Trondheim and one of the top dining experiences in Scandinavia.More

I’d heard amazing things about this restaurant from my Norwegian colleagues and was so keen to try it out when in Trondheim for work again. Trondheim is a beautiful city with so many lovely places to eat out but this for me has been the...best. Service and food was outstanding. We opted for 18 course tasting menu and wine paring. Don’t be alarmed as all dishes are very small but expertly put together and link well from one dish to another. My favourite two were surprisingly the lichen soaked in blood and then a frozen cucumber dish. The taste combinations in both were phenomenal. My work friends and I had the best time and lots of laughs. There’s a local gin they serve there that I wish we could get here in the UK. It was fab also. Lovely touch having the head chef/owner cone out to chat to us all and give us an insight into how he started this lovely wee place. 10/10. Wish I could go back again soon!More

A absolute must if you are in Trondheim. Like buying concert tickets to your favorite artist, you’re left in awe. Tastes so familiar but at the same time so exciting and unknown. Widen your horizon, visit Fagn Resturant in Trondheim.

Our visit at Fagn was truly a magnificent experience where we were able to enjoy a creative and beautifully displayed meal served in a humerous and informal atmosphere. A gourmet safari to be cherished for life.

Vi valgte DESVERRE å dra hit etter å ha hørt en del godt om stedet. Mye VELDIG SPESIELT på Menyen. Det var slik at når man dro derfra var man ikke i nærheten av å føle metthet. Vi vurderer det dithen at smaken av gjennomgang...som er i alle rettene er GRUSOM. Servicen fra servitør og kokkene var upåklagelig. Men hovmesteren bør ta sin hatt å gå. Turen går nok ALDRI tilbake desverre. Personalet var ok, men dårlig WC.... We chose DESWORSE to go here after hearing a lot of good about the place. A lot VERY SPECIAL on the menu. It was so that when you left from there you were not near to feel satiety. We consider it suggest that the flavor of the review that is in all the dishes is cruel. The service from the waiter and the chefs was impeccable. But the butler should take his hat to walk. The trip NEVER goes back sadly. The staff was very nice and helpful, and good WC.More

The food and service at Fagn was truly outstanding. As others have mentioned, the restaurant's staff laid back and inviting. My partner and I ordered the 20 course meal, and while we were initially hesitant about the possibility of being overly full, the portion sizes...were small so the meal was just right. The food has unique and rich flavors we weren't expecting. My personal favorites were the shrimp snack, the fish roe and white asparagus dish, and the turbot. We had the small meny- 12-13 courses with the wine-package. The food was brilliant and the wines/beer worked perfect. The service is cool/laidback, which I like. Can't stand the stiffness that many Michelin-star restaurants provides. The questionmark in the header is just because I haven't...been to Credo yet, but this is definatly the best restaurant I have visited in Trondhem.More

My wife and i enjoyed a superb full tasting course at Fagn! We cant say much more than that the food was world class, and as a local, a mix between nostalgia and something brand new! From old salted cod, to excellent paired drinks. The...icing on the cake was the service, wich Julian took to new levels by giving of himself and being a Trønder(local) thru and thru! You might not find the stiff white tables at Fagn, but if you want to experience the epitome of what Trøndelag has to offer, go to Fagn!More

We did have the small tasting menu with 12-courses. The food was very good I would like to say, but we do not like the "laid back" service, and we had a not smiling waiter who believed he was an expert on everything.... We did...go for a champagne to all the courses and it worked fine ( Champagne Von Graven). We did get glasses with a smell from the washing machine so they had to clean the glasses first. The Champagne was served at 20 degree so we needed at cooler to get the temperature correct. We was placed at a table closed to the door out, and it was a cold night out, but the waiter was so happy because he was warm and like to cooling down. So sorry for him that I and my wife was freezing, but he did not notice at all. So, I think they could do better, and I belive they can do a lot at the service. Food very interesting and good.More

While visiting Trondheim we felt that, even though no reservations were to be had, we would still try for a table at a 3 Michelin Star restaurant. I was up for it; after all she was treating. We found it with a bunch of people...outside, none of which were going in. We did; climbed the stairs and sure enough no table was available. But the bistro/bar had room. We went in but were disappointed by the menu, most of it (limited, 4 or 5 items) food we had recently or wouldn't eat again. Had a great drink each. The bartender recommended a couple of places and called for us. We ended up at Krafft Beer and Grill. Had alovely dinner.More

A small and delicate venue with exquisite service, attention to detail and last, but not least, food! Simply astounding.
