Good sizes portions and accomodating to special dietry requirements. IT gives an old school viking feel, with the dim lighting and the wood finish everywhere

Visited Egon restaurants all over Norway, everything is the same. Very safe and no surprises. Just a expensive version of McDonalds.

The food was not even close to being anything special and the service was so so. If I could choose, I would never go there again...

Took a group of 32 scouts and 8 leaders on the all-you-can-eat pizza buffet. Given Norway prices, very reasonable and certainly filled up some very hungry people. Staff were helpful and service was okay given the size of our party. Choice of topping were limited and the hot spicy pizzas were too prevalent for the 11-16 year olds. This was... More

Nice restaurant in the main street Markens. Nice place innside and outside. The food are ok for a quick meal, like pizza and lunch. Nice service.

I stopped visiting Egon restaurants many years ago, but life changed. We now have a 2-year old and need kid-friendly restaurants. Egon was in the same building as our hotel and was an easy choice arriving late in the afternoon after spending the whole day in Dyreparken. We were not alone. There were two queues on either side of the... More

I wonder if the hygiene is just as bad inside the kitchen as the dining tables! Not at all recommended. I have had about seven breakfasts here, and never (!) found a really clean table. No wonder why the lights are dimmed ...

I try to give Egon a chance, as they have a lot on the meny and affordable prices, but I just don't find the food to be that great. It's not horrible, but it has no flavor. Ordered baked potato and onion rings.

I have been to this place 2 or 3 times. The food is very over-priced, and what you get in return isn't all that great. Actually it isn't very good at all. It reminds me of Wetherspoon (in the UK), but you pay 4 times the price. By all means, it wasn't terrible, but the chef (on the day) clearly... More
