We knew beforehand that Food Asylum would be in the upper price range and were hoping for a special experience. A lot of thought has been put into the interior of the restaurant and everything is "asylum-oriented". Looks great! Staff was also friendly and helpful. The food was less interesting. For the price we paid, we had expected more interesting... More

Enjoyed a good meal with some business colleagues. The maki pieces were tasteful and creative with more flavor than what I'm used to at Sabi Sushi in Stavanger. It was not earth-shattering great but I would definitely eat here again. Ok prices, we ended up at around NOK 1200 for 3 people, including some drinks.

There is no better! The taste is perfect, the servings are delicately done, the staff is nice, prices are good compared to quality and it has a cool ambience. Love it!

I had sashimi and and a signature roll. Sashimi was super-fresh and the roll was exellent. The service was super friendly. I do recommend it for all those who love Japanese food.

On our last day in Norway we went to the no 1 in Kristiansand on tripadivsor. And we weren't disappointed. We had sushi on a very high level.

The place came recommended as the no1 in Kristiansand so we had our hopes up. Also since the prices were close to the best Sushi restaurants in Oslo. Alas what they delivered can barely compare with the takeout version you can get at gas stations. First of all they were out of tuna and had only salmon and halibut. What... More

We tried food Asylum as take away tow times in July. The first time we ordered a selection of fried maki rolls which was very good, and therefore tried a set box a few days later. The second time we were quite disappointed of the food compared to the price. The pieces were fancy made, but it seems as if... More

I was recommended this restaurant by friends. The Food was good, allthough the set menu s were quite similar to each other and not too interesting. The Food is pricey- which I was aware of before coming to the restaurant. What i did NOT appreciate was the servers sarcastic replies to Our questions when we were trying to order.. Me:... More
