Went to this hotel due to its proximity from Anker hotel where we were staying. The food was decent and could not complain. We did not order too much variety but went for the routine Butter chicken, chicken tikka and Naans. They tasted similar to most other restaurants we have been to. The place seems to be run by Nepalese,... More

Would be surprised if this is not the most authentic Indian in Norway. Great food and the atmosphere is very much like a busy restaurant in Pune. They use a grading system from one to six to describe how spicy the food is. We went for a 5 thinking they had adapted to Norwegian pallet, but that would have been... More

We just landed in Oslo and decided to search for a bite to eat near our hotel. We couldn't resist the temptation of another curry but we were all so hungry. This place was a gem, the curries were brilliant, good thick sauce which did not taste like it just came out of a jar and also wonderfully presented. I... More

Excellent Indian food at Grunerlokka in Oslo. Been here several times. Never disappointed. It's not a Michelin restaurant, but gives you nice food and very good value for money.

I found this restaurant by chance; I was walking up the road to find a meal after arriving later than expected due to a flight delay. I saw this restaurant which looked busy but which the staff were managing very well so thought I'd try also. I fell on a little gem. There are 6 levels of heat they can... More

Paid 195NOK for 5 small chicken pieces. Did not get extra when we asked. The food served was good. Will not come back.

Behind a anonymous house front you will find a dark, warm, authentic Indian restaurant with all the dishes you could expect. Reasonably priced, and very, very good! Hot dishes are served in decorated brass vases with lids, and you will get the chutneys and mint sauce on the side without asking. The nan bread is freshly baked and delicious. And... More

We went there quite late in the evening and the place was still packed. We had dal and lamb and were really happy with our choice. We can really recommend the cheese nan, as well as the tandoori dishes and the mango lassi. The dishes are quite expensive, be aware.

Craving indian food? This is by far the best indian food in Oslo! The resturant is small and intimate, and located on Grunerløkka. The service is great with attentive and helpful waiters. The menu has a lot of different choices, both meat, fish and vegan. The nan-bread is to die for. Book a table in advance! New Anarkali is a... More
