Certainly if I had to evaluate the first impact with a waitress I would never have sat at the table but then the hunger is the cold It made us decide to stop also seeing very succulent dishes served once we entered the same waitress whispered to another colleague who then she was very kind to us of Greek nationality to the point of changing the table for us because too much air was coming in in front of the entrance door, giving us a padded and well-sheltered bench and finally offering me coffee, which here cost €7!! we ordered two characteristic dishes which were very generous I would say. However the food has many mixes so it is difficult to enjoy the tastes however it must be said that the dishes are generous and the final bill in line with Oslo prices i.e. two place settings one half liter water one coke- cola 33 cl two courses of sauces we paid 1250 crowns Certainly in Italy Two second courses with side dish would have cost at most with drinks cover €50 so life is expensive here And everything costs more than double that in Italy everything costs double compared to 'Italy

We received a friendly welcome, although we hadn't made a reservation, we were given a table for 5 adults and 2 children on the first floor. The restaurant was quite full and we had to wait a while to order, but once we ordered, the food came pretty quickly. We were very happy with the quality and presentation of the dishes. To our delight, the main course was white asparagus from Germany with hollandaise sauce and Parma ham. It was very tasty and we would have gladly had a second plate, as the offer of 2 asparagus as a main course was a bit meager for the price. Luckily, there was a delicious dessert afterwards.

We had a great Christmas lunch at Lorry yesterday! Hektic and busy as we expect in December, but the service was absolutely superb. Special thanks to waitress Orkhan who was kind and welcoming and present throughout the meal. The Lutefish was served delicately on glowing plates and was incredibly perfect with all the accessories we wanted. Thanks for us🙂

We had pre-ordered a table several months ago to eat Christmas food and got probably the place’s worst table at the door, with a cold move and a constant queue of guests on their way in and out. Eat pine meat. Dry and tough. Vossakorven was ok. The cabbage tap was dry, hard and tasteless. If I can give a suggestion, put up butter, cream, pepper and a bit of carrots, it will have a more creamy taste and fluffy texture. The risk cream was too sugary and with only a few drops of red sauce but cost equally 225,-!! The service was medium, and not more than one should expect. No, these were bad things, Lorry, and it's completely incomprehensible that so many have this as their favorite place for Christmas food in Oslo.

That it is possible to serve this piece of fish where the blood had been drawn in and the fish was completely dry is beyond my understanding! It goes without saying that I specifically asked that they not pull the fish for so long when I ordered. I therefore thought that there was no point in complaining when they have already been told how I want it. The potatoes were good, the carrots were ok but the bacon was not crispy and I suspect that the sandefjord butter was from a bag, there was no fresh parsley in it anyway. My companion ate pork with dip and there they had managed to overcook the pork. The restaurant is one of Oslo's coziest premises, but honestly when you charge NOK 469 for a piece of fish, the chef should be ashamed to serve this!!!

There were two of us who decided to have a proper Christmas dinner at Lorry when we first visited the capital. The service was quick and efficient but the food was lousy and clearly had the impression of having been prefabricated and heated in a microwave oven. The ribs had bone-hard bones and a strange woody texture to the meat, the pork chops were hard and dry, and the sausage that came with it tasted rancid. When it cost NOK 625 for the plate of ribs and NOK 725 for pork chops (1.5 servings), this is simply far below what you can expect.

Eaten at the restaurant a few weeks ago a hot Saturday night. The service and the surroundings were fine. But the food was mainly what we came for. I ordered a burrata with many exciting ingredients and looked forward to the dinner experience that awaited for an Award of 298 kr. A large burrata cheese placed in the middle of the plate, which by taste and texture resembled something that was picked up in a nearby Lidl an hour earlier. And the other things, tomatoes, strawberries, watermelon, pesto o.a., randomly sprinkled over the plate in a vanity of hope that someone could have pity and call it a dish. Never before have I experienced such promising a dish with such an amazing composition dish so deeply. It was almost inexpensive. But with a mediocre glass of rosé it slipped down. Honestly, it was, as we say in Denmark, an ommer.

With some good friends, for the past 25 years we have gathered for a gourmet pre-Christmas dinner, preferably at a "brown" place, which can serve us traditional Norwegian food. This year we chose Restaurant Lorry in Parkveien 12 in Oslo. Great expectations for this, since Lorry is - and will be - a gathering place for better food, drink and an extraordinarily cozy environment. The others ordered lutefisk w/ditto, while I, in keeping with tradition, took a large Christmas plate. I would regret this very much! After some waiting, my long-awaited and so-called valuable holiday food finally arrived. A sad sight unfolded before me in the form of something to say the least and downright unappetizing. If you order a real Norwegian traditional Christmas plate, you expect a happy portion of the chef's special mix with ditto, not a sad, tasteless and dry mess! The others chuckled shaking their heads at my choice of long-awaited wonderful holiday dinner. Messed up a bit between 1 small piece of sausage of unknown ingredient, 1 somewhat larger piece of rib full of bone, hard and dry as the sole of my shoe, 2 overcooked probably medister cakes with an indefinable taste, all oversalted, as well as some red cabbage and lingonberries, some potatoes and sauce. All unappetizing - and a shame for such a well-run - and popular proud regular restaurant! Messed around with this, ate a few bites, and brought it up with the disengaged waitress Vanessa. Skipped the dessert - and went straight for the coffee, with a strong experience richer. It didn't get any better either, as we had called and booked well in advance a nice and somewhat quiet table, but got table no. 11 right by the entrance, where people came and went all the time, the door opened all the time so cold ute-gufs came in over us, as well as people hanging around us and chatting while waiting to be placed. No, Lorry, you can do this better, I think!

Read about this restaurant in one of the tourist booklets I picked up at our hotel. It's a really quirky atmosphere and has some of everything scattered around inside. They encourage you to check out the walls, shelves, ceiling, etc, throughout the restaurant and their patio. Definitely a fun vibe going on. I did make reservations for dinner but only about 1.5 hours before we arrived. We got there at 630pm; downstairs was busy and we were seated upstairs. Fun looking around at all the items on display. Service was fast and friendly. Food was served shortly after we ordered and was tasty. Upstairs got busy and filled up as we were eating. There was actually a group of about 22 women who came in as we were eating. Even with increase crowd service was still good and noise level comfortable. Fun place for a bit of a different dining experience.

Lunch: venta on board, and a not very serviceminded waiter showed me to the absolutely worst table I could see: at the bar outside, with no particular view of anything. Others who came in pairs were allowed to choose tables. When I asked if they took orders at the table or if you went in and ordered (had never been there before), she answered very specifically she came when she had time. Others who came after me had to order long before me. Then it was finally my turn. Eaten a good lunch: shrimp/crepe tail salad with a little more beer. Fresh raw materials. Not all taste combinations were equally good, but absolutely ok, if you don’t look at the price. In relation to the price: not worth the money. Not a single smile from the waiter when I left after paying all too much for a mere experience.

Don’t eat here go to Den Glade Gris instead. I wished we did. Arrived with no reservation. The day before we went home. Fairly friendly waitress accommodated us at the rear of the restaurant in uncomfortable banquettes that were not conducive to eating a meal; basically in the area that us Brits call the ‘ar*e end’ near the waiters station e.g. where they all stand around looking at their phones and chatting. Ordered the sausage and mash. Lovely tasting food but not particularly hot apart from the gravy; tepid mashed potatoes are not my favourite. Underwhelming service, loads of staff standing around, no one checked back with us to see if the food was ok or if we wanted anything else. We paid and left no tip to reflect our experience. Den Glad Gris next time. Not here, don’t waste your money.

Ordered cæcar and hamburger (meat from Strøm Larsen) The Cæcar salad was tasty and large. What they called a hamburger, on the other hand, was like a hockey puck. Elstøen salad mix on a dry brioche bread with 2 pickles from the box (ribbed. Nora) A little red onion and cold bacon. Fries were crispy and hot. What they call a hamburger seemed more like a patty. Was not satisfied and complained. Had to pay the staff's price for the burger. A disappointing experience.

Eggs and bacon tasted excellent this time too. The dish was not much to look at, but it tasted good. The portion was generous with fresh salad, pickled beetroot and fresh bread. There wasn't much to say about the price either. The service was decent, as usual. Look for more MulleEllum reviews.

Incredibly poor service, and the waitress made a huge number out of not getting tips. I'm normally a person who tips well if I feel that the service is in charge, but here we felt simply to care for the waitress all night, where there was ceiling with the eyes when we ordered and no one who followed on our table. When a gigastort number is made out of the fact that we didn’t tip, and you end the restaurant visit with the adult cheek from the female Swedish waitress, then I won’t recommend NONE to visit Lorry.

Steer away from this place during Christmas. They're pushing too many people in, you're sitting tight, huge noise levels, difficult to hear each other over the table. We were there on time, but had to wait 15min out in line before we got in. I got served 1.right very late, then after the 2.tallerken was served informed if we couldn't get coffee and dessert because a new table set was going in. It's too bad when you pay 750 DKK for a lutefish, and there's no room to enjoy. We will NOT return, fortunately there are more pleasant places in the city to eat Christmas food.
