Atmosphere a little cheesy. Service good. Food really not remarkable. Good fish soup, but too much thickening. Fried mackerel good. Steak tartare really tiny and flavorless. Mussels small not much of a sauce. Apple cake quite good. I the food was pretty good, wife really...didn’t love it., thus the 3*.More

Stumbled across this unusual place while exploring the city. Just drinks the first time but wanted to return for lunch. Very unusual decor, something different around every corner. Food was tasty and well presented.

We had an excellent lunch here. Great service, promptly seated and waited on by a courteous bilingual waitress. The food was fresh and plentiful and very tasty. Very interesting and essentially historical restaurant, filled with eclectic stuff. More like dining in a museum! Many interesting...collections to see, all cleverly arranged. You can wander around both the first and second floors and take in many artifacts, photos, taxidermy, statues, books, and art. We sat in a comfortable old wooden booth and really enjoyed an unhurried leisurely lunch in an old style restaurant brimming with ambience.More

We chose this restaurant as it was not far from our hotel (Slottsparken) and we actually ended up eating dinner here twice. The restaurant has both an inside and outside dining area and both were busy although we were found a table both times by...the friendly staff (we sat inside in "booths" which were nice and comfortable). We found the menu more extensive than in some of the other restaurants we visited and enjoyed all our dishes especially the mackerel.More

If you read Jo Nesbo's thrillers you will already know Lorry, there's even a booth with his name on it! Very Norwegian food with wonderful service and intriguing decor. We prefer the inside tables, but the garden "court" seems welcoming.

A clearly popular restaurant with good service. I had the reindeer Pattie’s and my wife the trout. Both were very good indeed. Menu was a bit limited and no visible starter dishes (although we would have had no room to squeeze a starter in 😁)...once we saw the mains. Restaurant is very traditional with a great atmosphere.More

Traditional Norwegian food. We sat outside ate and had a few bottles of wine. It was very nice. Inside is decorated very quirky. Seemed kind of tight quarters inside.

Went as a group of international diners and I think we all got a nice taste of traditional Norwegian food. Food was good, especially the Toast Skagen. The restaurant is full of quirky design details and that creates a nice and relaxed atmosphere. Staff was...friendly and very accommodating to our group,More

Artsy from outside to inside. Pretty cool inside of the restaurant as there are collectibles everywhere from all over the world. Food was ok but the tables were kinda ‘overlapping’ so we were not that comfortable sitting so close to another table and space was...tight. Got bumped when some lady walked behind me.More

Very quirky and unique restaurant, perfect for art lovers! For starters we just had olives and bread (picked olives, not fresh - but there was plenty of them!) which was standard For mains, my partner had the reindeer patties which were tender with a very...nice game sauce and a good portion size! I had the winter special cod which was lovely, very large portion however it wasn’t perfectly filleted and there was numerous small bones still remaining. I often enjoy seafood however there was no warning by the menu/ staff that there was Bones. Brown butter sauce was lovely The decor is definitely something that makes this place stand out, however the maximalist style and many tables meant it was a little bit more cramped than cosy (our table was directly in the middle kf the isle in between two booths) Overall an experienceMore

We booked this 4 weeks in advance of our visit and had to preorder our food as it was over the Christmas period. When we arrived it appeared they had our booking for an hour later than was booked and they had run out of...one of the dishes we had preordered. The atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant is great and there was a good selection of bottled beer but no draft. The food was OK.More

Not at all worth the money. (which was a lot). Served lukewarm the pork rib was dry without the crackling. Sauce and red cabbage tasted nothing, same with meatballs and sausage. And pinnekjøtt looked unappetizing and was not good either. Cloudberry cream too sweet and...not enough cloudberries. The place has a lovely atmosphere but I will not eat here again. A drink maybe.More

The only recommendation I had from a friend that had lived in Oslo was to dine here. It was a glorious meal, accompanied by lovely local beers, in an artistic environment. The food was superb, but at high enough prices that it couldn't be anything...else.More
