I came here with my mother on our first night in Oslo - excellent vibe (gorgeous candles everywhere) and we were greeted by such a friendly host (didn't realize on the first night how unique that can be in Norway). Waiter and sommelier were knowledgeable...More

Firstly if you would like to hang your coat, it's 30kr a jacket. I feel this is ridiculous considering you will spend 1000kr a head probably. Secondly we had to wait probably 8 mins to be seated. Once we were seated and served the food...More

As the others say, I'd say that if your children are a bit older and over the age where they like to play around then it would be fine to take them there. However, it's not what I'd call a family restaurant and I think that... More

Klosteret is situated in central Oslo - Hammersborg, beside the Deichmanske Main Library. The menu has a wonderful combination of continental and French dishes and the wine list is impressively diverse. The name Klosteret translates as The Monastery and there is a touch of the divine in the old brick arches lit by hundreds of candles and wonderfully calm atmosphere. A unique setting for a meal with colleagues, a romantic evening out or for guests from abroad - an unforgettable experience. The restaurant also has a Chambre Separée for private parties.
