About
Smelteverket is situated right on the banks of Akerselva river, in the basement of Mathallen in the Vulkan area of Oslo (entrance from the bridge and from inside Mathallen). The premise used to be an old train track production plant, and the interior is a testament to this. Today it's Scandinavia's longest bar and an athmospheric venue for food, drinks and entertainment. We're open 6 days a week, and can also be used as a venue for work-shops, press conferences, launches and other private events. Please see our events section for further details.

We went here as a group of 9. Great casual food, tasty fish and chips and Asian steamed buns. It's great being within the market building upstairs too. Nice atmosphere and selection of beers and cocktails.

Quite hidden but worth it, nice atmosphere with nice staff. Not as long (length) as we heard it was but it was still cool. Good drink size for the price
