Nice fireplace, good coffee. The bread (rundstykke) we ordered was a little stale and there was too little butter, so it was not too nice to eat.

We had a good lunch in the café at the Norwegian Folk museum. The selection is small but ingredients were fresh and the seating area was comfortable. It was great to have a place to eat since we had so much to see in the...museum.More

A good place to have a snack. The cafe is placed right at the enter of the museum so you can stop here just before you go, after a few hours of wandering between the old houses. I tried a smørrebrød with shrimps and I...had a beer. Tasty! Pretty crowded...More

After visiting the folk museum we wanted to grab a quick bite and went to this cafe here. I didn't have high expectations but we liked it quite a lot there. The cafe is pretty big and spacious and has plenty of different variations of...quite fresh sandwiches and cakes. The prices are not too high and the food is tasty. The portions are big and the menu had various options of Norwegian food as well. If you are in the area, definitely worth checking out.More

We went here for a small lunch between two museums. This was before planned to enter the Norsk Folkemuseum. So, we enjoyed a small meal here. We had both chicken dishes. Mine was more tasty, as it was flavoured with a mild curry, while my...wife had the fajitas with chicken. It was fresh, but lacked some flavours to take it up a notch. The flavour profile of the food was making it very safe and not adding an extra touch. The Cheesecake was very well-made and was a treat that saved the lunch. We both shared it and enjoyed it. The amount of cream in comparison to breadcrumbs/biscuits was perfect. The consistency and the sourness in cheese was just amazing. A bit stiff prices, but in a tourist hot-spot like this. That is to be expected. They also have very little or no competition. So, they can freely do it like that.More

Extremely slow service and very overpriced. soup was good, the pai was quite bad. There is not much other choice to eat in the are, so unfoetunatelly not easy to avoid this place.

Arkadia is right next door to the Folkemuseum and can be accessed directly from the street or from the museum. It offers a variety of excellent sandwiches, pastries, cakes, cookies, snacks, espresso, cappuccino and other espresso-based hot beverages, beer, sodas and water. Its rustic interior...offers plenty of tables and chairs, with flatware and napkins on the table. You pay, pick up your food and take it to the table you select. Good quality food and beverages.More
