This place took dishes that I know I wouldn't normally eat since I don't enjoy them in their standard form, and made them tasty and interesting. Awesome presentation, and a real great experience. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is there was a couple with a young child there sitting at the next table, and throughout the meal... More

Such a huge let down! The food was for the most part not very tasty and there were no very good dishes.(even the one dish that is bread and butter was a disappointment, perhaps the hardest and least tasty bread I have had in a long time) Maaemo has taken the whole minimalist concept way too far. When we left,... More

Amazing mix of Norweigian food from the sea and land. Incredible selecton of wines that really gives dimension to the 20-ish course meal. (I lost count) We really recommend to go all in for this meal. It's not cheap, but if You are a lover of food, it's absolutely worth the money. Our respect to the chefs and the excellent... More

Maaemo is one of the two 3-Michelin starred restaurants in the Nordic area. We booked the place a couple of months before - two couples. It's easier to find a table if you are more than two people because the restaurant has very few tables and most visitors come here as couples. The whole experience lasted approximately 3.5 hours (from... More

Top level restaurant!! Selection of raw materials, preparation and presentation of food and service were just outstanding. Among The Best dining experience in my Life. Only questionable detail is price...but it's a kind of 5-starred restaurant in one of the most expensive towns...just obvious!

Though the food was great, the service was not at all good. Far from 3-star restaurant material in that sense. When you pay this much, one should expect impeccable service - and this was not good.

This was a business meal at a 3 star Michelin restaurant in Oslo - I believe the only three star restaurant in Norway. An amazing experience - 20 small course with locally sourced food, prepared with such attention to detail. The wine parings were excellent and interesting. Service - impeccable! A truly amazing evening that totally titallated the senses!
