I love Spanish food and during the last 30 years I have regularly visited this family run restaurant. It is small and intimate with traditional food and decor. We stayed at a hotel in the vicintity of the restauarant, and due to a rather cold night, we went for a meal at La Sangria, and it did more than comply with our expectations. The chef and his camarera did their best to supply...us with what we wanted. And having lived in Spain, we absolutely wanted something that could remind us of a warmer place this cold November night. With a typical Spanish main course, we had more to go, with sufficient supply of machego cheese and wine, and enjoyable chat bringing us back to Placa de Espana in under different skies. This was a pleasant surprise. A Spanish tapas restaurant in the middle of Oslo? Sounds too good to be true - but it lived up to all expectations and then some. Located right across from the reception at Radisson Blu Scandinavia, once Norway's leading hotel,...La Sangria is probably part of the reason why this hotel cannot field a decent restaurant. Whatever they try, better eating at half the price is available right across the street.More

We enjoyed a late night Valentines tapas evening at this very Spanish restaurant. Very good service, and very Spanish interior. We tried mostly different cheese and meat tapas - and and some good red wine. An enjoyable evening.
Doubledate in an authentic restaurant with a taste of Spain, sun and summer. Sangria, San Miguel, great tapas and atmosphere. The only thing we missed were croquettes, padrons and some sliced entrecote.
Visited Later Sangria with my son while on a weekend break. It was just like being in a bodega in Madrid , lots of memorabilia on the walls.The food was extremely good and reasonably priced.My son especially enjoyed the tortilla . The mussels were lovely...and fresh.The owner was super friendly. He was born in South London as was I and we both lived in Mostoles Madrid. It was nice to talk about Madrid. We will definitely return on our next visit.It is advisable to book on a weekend.More
