If it is warm enough to sit outside then make use of the terrace to get the great views over the Oslo waterfront. Service was attentive and friendly, slightly short on vegetarian options although having said that my pasta was great, and plenty for fish...eaters especially.More
Literally just off the plane we headed to Oslo on a sunny Saturday afternoon. We hadn't booked but tried our luck for a table on the lovely outdoor terrace overlooking the Oslo Fjord. We were greeted by a friendly waiter and he worked his magic...and got us seated. Ow somehow, despite the perfect English of the guys serving us we managed to order the antipasti without realising... I blame it on us feeling giddy with actually being out of the country for the first time in 2 years but despite our embarrassment they very generously just said have it on the house. It was fantastic, as was the beautiful seafood pasta that we had ordered. The guys were generous, good humoured and made us feel right at home. The food was fantastic and the wine was great too. I would go back for sure if we get back to Oslo one day ❤️More
Seaside downtown Oslo with beautiful enviroment deserves better than this. Average food, ok wine, but is it worth it? Upper class people come here. If you are below upper-middelclas and dont mind waiting very long to order, get you food and pay - and feel...neglected, is’s ok. At least the view is ok.More
We visited the place in the evening for a dessert+coffee. The atmosphere and interior were nostalgic and very cosy like in Italian restaurants. Waiters are Italians with a very welcoming attitude. The desserts were delicious; good coffee as well.
OSLO HAS A TOP NOTCH ITALIAN This is a great Northern Italian restaurant at the western end of Tjuvholmen overlooking the Oslo Fjord, beneath the nautical arches of Astrup Fearnley Museum. I had the CARPACCIO DI MANZO for starter. Raw beef fillet, tapioca chips, green...sauce and salat. Fantastic. And the TAGLIATELLE DI MARE for main course. White fish, Argentinian shrimps, cherry tomatoes, chili, capers and mint for starter. Fantastic. Our red wine was a Piemonte. Fantastic. Just a stone's throw from Aker Brygge, you get a seaside culinary journey that blends the best Norwegian ingredients with the rich gastronomic heritage of the chef's maritime Italy. Modern interior. Great staff. Just go.More
