Visited ST Lars restaurant with 4 friends. The food was ok, but not at all worth the money. Main course Entrecote with green salad and fries - nok 430,- !

I was here with my girlfriend and another couple. We had different appetizers, but all agreed on the cout de beuf for main course. I personally had the horse tartar, but my girl ordered the chipotle mussels. The mussels were amazing, I recommend them for everyone! The main course delivered as well, big portions, really tasty bearnaise and amazingly tender... More

Two friends of mine and me wanted to share a bottle wine here on a really quiet evening (17:15), but we where not allowed in because we wouldn't have something to eat. Had it been later or on a busy night I could understand it (they don't have that many tables), but I don't understand why we couldn't sit there... More

The lamb was dry. A little bit disappointing friendly and smily personnel and fair variety of beer. Not bad.

My husband and I ate at this restaurant on our recent trip to Norway this September. The grilled lamb they serve at St Lars is the best lamb we have ever eaten. We have eaten a lot of lamb. The sauce was very tasty, too. The mashed potatoes and root vegetables were a nice addition. The serving was so large... More

I came with 3 other colleagues. 2 of us ordered the lamb and 2 ordered the boeuf. The 36 hour lamb was good. Had good flavor and was very tender. The boeuf was not tender at all. Flavor was burnt. Any seasoning or marinade was lost to the charcoal burning. The sides were nothing special. A romaine salad was just... More

We were excited to try this place after work and all in all we had a good night but not so much from the efforts of the restaurant. The first impression was a cold greeting and the table, seating arrangement, followed suit. The waitor was nice enough but seemed to have no clue about anything regarding food, wine, drinks etc.... Had a great scallop and sweetbread appetizer, followed by the lamb as it was recommended by the server as a house specialty. I'm not a huge fan of lamb, but this was amazing -- very tender meat and crispy on the outside. Served with mashed potatoes and other root vegetables. A little heavy overall, but the lamb was just so... More

This is a place for grilled meat dishes and wine(also have a beer menu). Immediately as we entered the premises a very nice member the staff showed us the table and explained ALL the dishes for us. Very surprised by the level of the service - in a positive way. We choose not to go for the set menu but... More

We have visited St Lars a couple of times and had great food each time. However, the lamb we had last time beats all. Highly recommended!

Great new spot in Oslo, focuses on barbecued food, with unpretentious dishes such as entrecote, grilled langoustines, and foie gras, all served with no nonsense sides.
