We have visited St Lars a couple of times and had great food each time. However, the lamb we had last time beats all. Highly recommended!

If you are looking white tablecloth fine-dining this may not be your first choice with dark worn furniture and non-nonsense straight to the point service. However, if you enjoy a relaxed atmospheric with excellent food and where no-one raises their eyebrows just because you order to instead of red wine to your beef, this is your place. The scallops are... More

Finishing up a board meeting with a dinner is always a challenge when the members of the board are all deafblind or suffer from strongly impaired sight and hearing. St. Lars was basically chosen on random based on location, and after reading reviews. Visiting new and unknown places always creates a certain insecurity in the group. It turned out to... More

I've had amazing food all over the world, and I've been lucky enough to enjoy some amazing lamb dishes on multiple continents, both from Michelin star restaurants and small hawker stalls. I've had amazing lamb abroad, and ranking all the way up there is the lamb at St. Lars. The lamb is cooked sous vide for 36 hours, before having... More

I gave it 4 stars because of the Tonka pudding. It has a very distinct taste. A taste that the four of us did not like, and after a fantastic meal it wasn't nice to end with it. I had the mussels as a starter. Absolutely delicious. For the main I had the lamb which is grilled for 36 hours... More

Went to St. Lars with our team at work. Perfect atmosphere for a pre-Christmas dinner. the 3-course dinner was superb with lobster and steak. The wine menu suited the meal perfect.

What a place! Stylish, great food, Knowledgeable staff, good music too. If you want something standard and corporate then do not go here...This is much much better. Kick back, relax, drink some English Sparkling wine and have some fun, life's too short not to.....

St. Lars is an relaxed, friendly restaurant with tasteful food not far from Bislet Stadion in Oslo. Their speciality is grilled food. My wife is passionanately fond of mussels with garlic and white vine, while I am more into a tender (preferably large) entrecôte. Both of us was very pleased. I can recomend this place for Visitors to Oslo.

Was here in July of this year after not having been here for about 2-3 years. Went for the hamburger as it was before one of the best in Oslo. Maybe we were unlucky but what we got was burnt on the outside served with chips and garlic where the garlic was also burnt and tasted bitter. The service was... More

Although the restaurant is not very big and the acustics are not the best, the food was excellent. The service was great and so was the wine selected to accompany the meal. The personnel were knowledgeable and highly competent. If you have a chance to try the roast leg of lam, please do. It seemed well marinated and slow cooked.... More
