With pride I could enjoy a wonderful afternoon with guests from abroad in the outdoor side of the restaurant. Amazing architecture, view, service, ambience and food in lovely temperature and sunshine! Will be back!

Good food and really nice to sit outside in the summer. Fantastic building, be sure to have a stroll on the roof!

The place is interesting specially because of the architecture but it was such a foggy freezing day that it was almost impossible to apreciate the view of the building from the outside. The restaurant is just like a caffe( at least on that day! ). Some tables indoors only! Coffe was good and so was the cake I had. That's... More

I have been to the opera but never to the restaurant. I should have earlier. It is great food, lovely presented on the plate, with many taste buds, in a polite way served, framed by a great scenery. Prices are reasonable (for Oslo) and the staff is cautious. Really good for dates. And worth for 5 stars, which I rarely... More

The only reason to stay at this location for your meal is if you want to enjoy the view for the architectural goodiness that is the Oslo Opera. Everything here is expensive, except perhaps the coffee, which is decent. So order a coffee, enjoy the view and move to one of the restaurants at Sørenga for a meal.

I visited the Opera House restaurant with my husband for a light lunch following a recommendation from a friend. As Brits we were keen to try out some traditional Norwegian food so we opted for the Taste of Norway light lunch which included goose and whale meat as well as gravalax and herring. The meal was very good and the... More

I liked this restaurant because we could choose Norwegian food off a menu, rather than a fixed course dinner, which was the only choice at many of the other restaurants. We sat outside and it was a beautiful evening and we could watch the sculpture in the water, the cruise boats, the kayakers and the people enjoying the beautiful Opera... More

Only wanted a light lunch so as is common in Oslo we had the Taste of Norway. Hard to judge a restaurant on this fairly standard cold selection but this one was plenty big enough and had an interesting selection of items including Whale which was nice. The staff were friendly and the coffee good. However what can be reviewed... More

This restaurant have a fantastic location, but unfortunately the kitchen is far from up to expected standard. Meny is fine, but the portions were really too small, and quite tasteless, unfortunately.

The portion sizes are a huge understatement of a normal meal. In defense the food tasted delicious and the coffee was as good as always in Oslo.
