Had a fantastisk evening at Grefsenkollen. The view was superb, the food tasty and the staff friendly.

Great pizza, so creds to the chef! However, rate them only 3 due to terrible service from the staff.
We’ve been waiting for the service to come to the table little long, but got the best beer we’ve drunk lately - German Weihenstephaner. To add the perfect view on Oslo and amazing, warm weather - it’s a positive experience!
Take the bus up to Grefsenkollen restaurant for a splendid view over Oslo, probably the best you can get. Espescially in the evening
Views and history wrapped in one. During German occupation in WWII, they took over this historic vacation lodge as a radio communications command. I wouldn’t have made this mountain climb without a car, though! Not sure if there are any buses going up this far....There is a terrace café and a restaurant. But everyone is welcome even if you don’t use their services. They have a sprawling lawn and lots of chairs to choose from while you relax and enjoy the scenery. I’m now obsessed with the views above Oslo!!!More
This place is worth visiting. Easy to get there from down town Oslo. Amazing view over the city. Very good pizza and service.
The view from restaurant is stunning. When I was there, all of the outside tables under roof had been taken so I had to sit open-air with freezing wind blowing. Never mind though. I ordered reindeer meat & cranberries with white sauce pizza and IPA...beer, which cost me around 300NOK. Great price with incredible view if compared to meals in city centre. I loved the pizza. Reindeer meat unbelievably went well with cranberries and icy cold beer. Just some tips to get here...check bus schedule. Bus 56B which comes to the top of Grefsenkollen runs only on weekend and until early evening only. I got to bus stop after last bus left at 1745 hrs to the peak so I had to take bus 56 which stops at Trollveiskrysset, the nearest station to Grefsenkollen. From there, I had to walk up hill for 30 minutes to reach the restaurant. Google map will show walking way via normal road while maps.me will show you alternative short cuts through the forest. I chose to follow the latter as my legs could not cope with longer path.More
Located high above Oslo, with very nice view over the city and area around. The restaurant is dressed in wooden interior. It has it charm and looks good. The service was good. Not too intrusive and gave enough time between each course. No paper or...alternative at the washing sink on the toilet. Let’s hope this was a special one time case. We had ordered a set three course meal. The bread and butter was nothing special. Very average. Not the best start on a meal you have high expectations of. Starter was small but tasty. Not my cup of tea, but others liked it. It was something that reminds me why I do not care so much of fancy fine dining. Main meal of duck. Too small portions of meat. Most of the meat was okey, but it was also some part of it that was too hard to chew. Just another disappointing size and overall taste. Lactose free alternative was limited to the meal, by removing what had lactose. No lactose free milk alternative to the coffee. The dessert was different for the lactose free version vs normal. This was the only good part of the meal, where the size was okey and taste was good. Overall the meal was nothing special and you want to eat a burger after finish it. For the price, there are just too many good options. You pay for the view and location, not the food.More
Nice rustic restaurant, and pub, above Oslo. Exselent view over Oslo town and fjord, and the woods. Take a walk into the woods and endjoy a good dinner / pizza after the trip. See the sunset !
It takes some time to get up to Grefsenkollen, but absolutely worth it. A stunning view over the city. We had the raindeer and a moose sausage pizza with a glass of red. The pizzas were tasty and with a different touch. Arrived quite late...on a Sunday evening and the waitress told us that the restaurant closed at 7 PM although it said 8 PM online. Misi and his team took very well care of us.More
