This was a very good restaurant experience. We ordered champagne, reindeer pizza with lingonberries, tenderloin, homemade softice, pear dessert and coffee. Everything was really good. The pizza was fantastic. Recommended! Total price approx. NOK 1180, which is OK for Norway. A little tip for the restaurant: When the customers arrive please serve some fresh bread that they can enjoy until the food arrives. Most people are hungry when they are waiting for the food. :)

A superbly located restaurant, with panoramic views over the city. I was there for a conference dinner, which was superb in every way but might not be representative of normal operations. There were a bunch of people sat outside with fires and pizzas, which I would have tried on the weekend if it had stopped raining.

The location and the view of Oslo i magnificent. However, the service could be much better. The pizzas contain to much filling which makes them somewhat soggy. Prices are high for the quality and service. Such a wonderful location deserves more enthusiastic service and better food.

Oslo's best view, but sloppy and not solution-oriented staff. After a 6-hour bike ride in Lillomarka, we looked forward to starving bodies getting some nourishment from this pizza, which is supposed to be so good. The tour leader had done thorough research about the opening times and our tour was adjusted according to the times that were stated on the websites the night before. As we enter the restaurant, we discover a poster stating that it is a closed party from 1800. At the door, we meet one of the staff who is more like a doorman who would keep people out. When we say that this was not disclosed on the website, he says that he is sorry for that, but does not offer us any alternative, which should have been obvious when the establishment has given incorrect information on the website. There should be 250 guests, is it so difficult to put some pizza on the table for 3 more people in the outdoor dining area? I feel that this place, with perhaps Oslo's best view, deserves to have a more service-oriented staff. So here we can only hope that there will be new costs. Next time it will probably be Trollvannstua or Linderudkollen. Or bring your own food and sit in the outdoor dining area. It is supposed to be closed for the winter already.

My husband and I went on a trip to Grefsenkollen during our summer holiday. We were told that we had to order takeaway pizza due to unstable weather, if we wanted to sit outside under cover. We would love to sit outside and order each of our pizzas as takeaway. The pizza was good and when we finished eating it started to rain. It also got a little cold because of the rain, and we therefore sat indoors where we each bought a bowl and coffee for "dessert". We enjoyed ourselves by the window seat with our buns, until we were relatively quickly informed that we had to eat and that we had to move. We replied that we had eaten pizza too, although this was admittedly outdoors. Besides, we ate buns...? No, this was not good and we were directed to a small "less attractive table" right by the till. Admittedly, we were still allowed to sit indoors and eat the buns, but that would just be missing. Soon two older ladies arrived who wanted to sit by the window and were directed to "our" window seat. I thought this was whimsical, and we felt badly treated

This review is more about the venue and location rather than the restaurant as we were guests at a wedding. From this perspective, it was amazing. A traditional Norwegian hunting lodge amidst the Grefsen woods with stunning views across Oslo and the fjords beyond. We had good weather so luckily were able to experience both the outside facilities and inside. Would highly recommend as a function venue or a challenging bike ride for coffee and/or lunch.

Cozy premises and a nice view, but that's not enough when you've booked a table and are looking forward to a good lunch on a Saturday. A warm welcome in a beautiful venue that was a little too cold so we had to keep our jackets on. Got quick service but no questions or recommendation about wine. The food was decent enough, some dry bread for the soup. Wasn't offered dessert when we asked for coffee. All right, but here they could have sold a lot more, there was 1 applesauce, meat soup and 1 pizza. We will not be back

Restaurant in the east of Oslo with a rich history, beautiful surroundings, and a stunning view. Offers diverse services that change seasonally.

Stunning location and experience - the food and drink were remarkably good. But the location! Hands down one of the top 10 places I’ve eaten in despite the blizzard outside.

Great pizza, so creds to the chef! However, rate them only 3 due to terrible service from the staff.

We’ve been waiting for the service to come to the table little long, but got the best beer we’ve drunk lately - German Weihenstephaner. To add the perfect view on Oslo and amazing, warm weather - it’s a positive experience!

Take the bus up to Grefsenkollen restaurant for a splendid view over Oslo, probably the best you can get. Espescially in the evening

Views and history wrapped in one. During German occupation in WWII, they took over this historic vacation lodge as a radio communications command. I wouldn’t have made this mountain climb without a car, though! Not sure if there are any buses going up this far. There is a terrace café and a restaurant. But everyone is welcome even if you don’t use their services. They have a sprawling lawn and lots of chairs to choose from while you relax and enjoy the scenery. I’m now obsessed with the views above Oslo!!!
