Although TripAdvisor Said “Open today”. The restaurant had a sign stating closed until 15/08”. Why can’t the website be up to date? Very unhappy!

High quality Italian food! My friend is half Italian and she claimed it was one of the best Italian restaurants she’s been to! Much better than back home in the states!

Great pasta, great wine selection, great service, and great value. Among the very best Italian restaurants in Oslo.

I live in Oslo. We were going to test Ruffino for the first time. We ordered what we found of vegetarian dishes on the menu: ravioli and risotto. However, we were surprised when we got tiny portions (especially the ravioli portion was extra small) ....More

Ruffino isn't really hidden--it's just a little off the beaten tourist track that centers around the waterfront, and it's definitely worth finding. While Ruffino isn't inexpensive and doesn't have "views," it really delivers in food and service. It has an attractive atmosphere and it's truly...More

When entering Ruffino, the relatively small area and the elegant table settings (table clothes, wine and water glasses, and folded napkins) tell you this is not a simple Italian restaurant; and, the food confirms it. Our appetizer was a lovely pasta with lots of little...More

We showed up with no reservations and the owner and his son squeezed us in to an already full restaurant. The service was the best - and the food divine. Definitely visit if you are in Oslo - you will not be disappointed.

Although we were staying at the airport, we decided to book the train to Oslo just to enjoy, once again, the Ruffino. It was as outstanding as before, with outstanding servers, excellent food, and a fine ambience.

Nowhere in Oslo is really cheap to eat and alcohol is expensive everywhere compared to other places in Europe. I consider Ruffinos to be "fine dining" and it is very good - but is priced accordingly. A prosecco aperitif... More

No parking that we saw, but it's located on a corner close to the main commons area in the city center, just a few blocks away from the National Theater, where I believe there's a subway stop.
