Other reviewers have already expressed themselves very eloquently and there is little I can add, reading their reviews makes me hungry! Beautiful food, charming place

Arrived late in Oslo and were looking for a place to eat close to our hotel. Stumbled upon this restaurant and had the best evening in there. Very tasty dishes, really attentive waiters and great atmosphere. We loved the food so much that we asked the chef for the recipe and he happily gave it to us - and also... More

Located in the best shopping street in Oslo, but in a small white brick house withdrawn from the main street. The atmosphere is great under the pitched roof. Food and wine menu excellent. Service great. We were 10 girlfriends enjoying this experience and we were the last to leave the place.

On a cold November night it was nice to walk into a cosy, warm restaurant. The service was excellent, the food very good and the recommended wine very tasty. Just a small comment: Since all the tables were occupied the noise was a little to high.

We stumbled upon Brasserie Blanche after arriving late into the city. Cosy and inviting ambience with friendly attentive staff. The food was the best we tasted during our stay, and we were able to eat in a couple of the top restaurants including No1. Unbelievably flavoursome and brilliantly executed. We opted for the chefs menu and recommend the oyster soup... More

Traditional French cooking. Large selection of wines, mostly French but also Italian and more. We had the seasonal ox cheek and mashed potatoes and chicken breast cooked to perfection. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Attentive and quick. Intimate atmosphere with a fireplace set the mood, but a bit too warm for the tables right next to the fire... More

Located in the old building few minutes walk from the Royal Palace along Bogstadveien, Blanche is a very atmospheric and cosy. Would definitely recommend it for a romantic dinner. French cuisine with some local ingredients, very tastefully served and well-prepared. It may not be a super-ultra-hipster-fusion type of place, and its not trying to be. Instead, great selection of wines,... More

With good recommendations my expectations were already high, but this exceeded everything I expected. Great French cuisine with exquisite wine pairings made this night one for the books. Friendly and knowledgeable staff creates a good surrounding for a good meal. I'm definitely coming back.

We went for a set menu at a slightly reduced price (bookatable). The meal was OK, but nothing special. Traditional, but a bit boring. But I love the old building and the interior, and the service was very good.
