Over priced and terrible food and grumpy service. The menu is supposed to celebrate Norwegian food instead is massacres it. The mixed meat stew with chanterelles had the grand total of three over cooked mushrooms and meat so over cooked that it tasted stale and...chewy. The whale was charred to say the least and although a big steak was so over cooked it was like cardboard. Really pricey for really poor quality foodMore

Friends were visiting from the states and wanted to try traditional Norwegian food. This restaurant was the perfect choice! Steamed shrimp, whale, deer, reindeer, mussels, and beef… everything was excellent! The staff was helpful and efficient.

Very low price/quality. For 50 eur for a mix plate you expect much more. Portions are also very small and on one of our platters the meat was way overcooked. Service was friendly.

I brought some American friends with me to eat Norwegian food, and I really enjoyed that there is a restaurant in Oslo where there are several Norwegian dishes. We tried 3 different dishes, and all 3 of them were very tasty. I had the whale...which was made to perfection. My friends ordered "tilslørte bondepiker" for dessert, and the portion was extremely small. The service was friendly, but a bit slow.More

We made reservations by mail two or three months in advance as we were staying in Oslo on a Saturday night after a cruise. We were so excited to taste Norwegian food in a cool setting. First, we arrived 10 minutes early (7:20) to a...pretty empty restaurant. Our table wasn’t “ready”. We sat at the bar with no drinks (never asked) for 35 minutes before we were seated. Then, no one came to take any orders - drinks or otherwise. We had to ask a server to please take our order. We ordered the reindeer and game stew. We had two beers and fish soup to share and had to ask for bread. Meanwhile people around us were served their meals after coming in long after us. Finally, we asked and were told “soon!” It’s now 9:14 and we asked the bartender. He went to the kitchen and apologized. The manager comped one drink and 50% dinner. Our meal still hadn’t arrived. People around us are finishing up.More
