Great fish restaurant. Huge place. We were with a large group. Food is very good. Location at the harbor. Staff could smile a bit more. We were there at the last night before they close for fall and winter.

Right on the Harbor and under Akerhus Fortress. Pricy, but very very good quality seafood. Had the 3 course special. Hard to find fresher fish! Wife is a cileac, and they were extraordinarily accommodating, great surprise after the food fest earlier had us thinking Oslo...More

We came here as a family and had a very enjoyable meal looking over the harbour. The restaurant staff were very helpful and made good wine choices. The kids loved their mussels and bread! We will definitely return next time we are in Oslo

We visited Solsiden in the summer of 2017 so it's hard to tell weather they kept the same standard / level of the service and food presentation. We sure did enjoy our visit as we ate some of the local fishes and fantastic desserts made...More

Oslo has become a destination capital for food, and this restaurant is one reason why. Soldsiden or Sunside restaurant specializes in seafood and provides yummy dishes in which the fish melts in your mouth. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the wine was good.

Our hotel recommended Solsiden. It was on the harbor with a beautiful view of the water. It was a warm night, so all the windows were wide open. The restaurant was full on a Saturday night, as many walk-ins were turned away at the door....More

Some restaurants have it all and some you immediately feel it is managed poorly. As in the header mentioned this restaurant is in the first category. When you entered this place the reception is personal and the further service is with full commitment. Had as...More

The meal we had here was most delicious. Fish carpaccio starters and an enormous seafood platter for afterwards. All served with a smile, although expensive a great experience.

Solsiden restaurant is only open during the summer season. We are now closed for winter and will open at May 2nd 2019. Solsiden Restaurant is a seafood restaurant where we use only the best raw materials the coast has to offer. Besides a variety of different fish we always have "Plateau de Fruits de Mer" on the menu. This is our specialty consisting of lobster, clams, crabs, mussels, shrimp, crayfish (when they are available fresh) and king crab. The dishes can be accompanied by one of the over 250 wines from our wine menu. Solsiden Restaurant is located on Akershusstranda right below Akershus Fortress. Enjoy the magnificent sunset over the Oslo Fjord through the windows and open sliding doors. Here Oslo harbor is like a marine painting that changes from minute to minute. Welcome and Bon Appetit!
