Great view of the Fjord and central Oslo & the opera house. We had grilled shrimps for starter which were one of the best we’ve ever had and for main the mixed meat grill platter for 2 which was amazing (delicious meats in a yummy herbal tomato sauce, huge portion)! Wine selection was good.

The Seaport is in an ideal location, just a stones throw away from the Opera House. We visited the restaurant earlier this month as part of family weekend away for my Mother's birthday. It was our first trip to Oslo so we really hoped it would live up to the hype.
Given that this was our first night in Oslo I was delighted that we had a wonderful time here; it was a perfect start to our weekend away. The food and drink was excellent and the service exemplar. And once the staff caught wind that it was my Mother's birthday they even went to the trouble of doing a little birthday sing-song and offered a complimentary dessert on the house (which was a delicious ice cream with melt in the middle choc fudge).
Iskandar runs the restaurant when his family are out of town and is an excellent, well informed host. If you have questions about the local area he's also happy to provide you with some hot tips and pointers.
So if you're in Oslo for the weekend and looking for a place to start your night/weekend then make sure you swing by the Seaport.

This modern restaurant with stylish decor has a seaside location in the newly-built Sørenga district.
We were friendly welcomed. It was no problem that we just wanted to have drinks although the tables were beautifully set up for diners.
We had Aperol Spritzes. They were well made and reasonably priced in the otherwise expensive Oslo.

It took about an hour for us to get the food, and when we got it, it was cold (even though they were hot dishes), and with other ingredients than specified in the menu (which could be really dangerous for allergies). This is during the COVID-19 pandemic, which the restaurant has taken no precaution for. The tables are too close, the restaurant too full (they filled it up after we sat down to eat), and they have made no effort to make payment safe (you have to touch a LOT of buttons etc., and the machine does not get cleaned from one guest to the next). We ordered wine, which we didn't receive, but they tried to charge us for.

Went here on a Saturday with reservations. Place was packed and so service was unexpectedly slow but not too bad.
We started with the Calamari and chili marinated shrimp. Both were pretty bad, tasted like ready made freezer stuff just thrown in a fryer. Tasteless and served with a dressing that tasted like store bought thousand island out of a bottle. One of us had a T-bone steak and it was thin, tasteless and served with pre-made bag bernaise. At this point we were really disappointed and felt quite ripped off. I suggested that we try something Turkish for the mains as it seems that this is their specialty. Three of us did and luckily it was amazing.
Both lamb and chicken were grilled over charcoal, you could really smell and taste it. The tzatziki was freshly made. The Turkish desserts were the same, freshly baked and wonderful. I have no doubt that the other Turkish dishes are of similar quality. If I ever come back I'll try the whole grilled Dorado, it looks delicious.
As long as you stick to the Turkish dishes this place very good and reasonably priced.

Meal was average, service was average, restaurant was cold and unwelcoming. For the money you will spend here you could go to a hundred alternative restaurants and have a delicious meal. It's just not worth going here when there are so many better and cheaper places.

Nice location. The service was ok, but we ( 6 people ) were moved from one table to another table to allow seating for a "larger group".
The larger group never exceeded 6 people, so that was a bit annoying.
Service was quick enough, but the food was very poor.
My Moules Frites had a least 1/3 unopened or empty mussels.
And the serving was not big to begin with.
The mussels had been steamed/boild to a point that they seemed to have exploded.
The sauce had a strange undefined taste.
The fries were poor and the serving was laughably small.
A handful of mediocre fries on a plate.
Not recommended.

The service was in short, crap.
- 3min after getting our food, I had to walk over and find cutlery for myself.
- 5min after that I had to go look for a waiter to ask if we would be getting some drinks soon.
- We got the impression that our presence was an inconvenience for our waiter.
But hey, sometimes, bad service can be eclipsed by amazing food...right?
No worries, the food was boring, simple, small servings, and some of the main ingredients stated on the menu were not even in the dish..
The positive aspect, there was a lady that worked as a runner there, she was very kind, as she didn't speak the local language it appears as though she was used as a runner, as such, I can't blame her for the total lack of interest shown by the rest of the service staff. One can only hope she would get a job at a better establishment in the future.
Will I go there again?
Not if I have to pay for it myself, no.

With only one fish dish on the menu (you would think more given the ‘Seaport name..) I ordered the fish. They were out. Ordered mussels, they were out.. Ended up with some overcooked pasta swimming in a tasteless sauce, was so bad I couldn’t eat it.For starter I ordered Scampi; it was a joke! 3 pieces of wet salad and a slice of a beef tomato on a plate served with five cooked scampi on top. No finesse, no taste. Overpriced and disgusting. Tourist trap. Never again.

If you are hungry and need a good meal, stay away……. Takes for ever to get food served
We had to ask for bread several times, the waiter told us he asked the kitchen. It was all a lie. Stay away…..

Sometimes when a lot of people come at the same time, the food can take a while. When this happens our routine is to tell the customers before they order, or even at the door, that their food might take a while. In this case we apparently did´t, and for that we are sorry. As for the bread, when you visited us we had a few waiters who were still in training, and this might have contributed to the confusion. For this we are also sorry, but you are always welcome back if you want to give us a chance to right our wrongs and give you a better impression than your last visit did.

Wonderful taste of our shared platter. The lamb and chicken was so good. Soft and chill backgroundmusic during our dinner Our table was at the inside of the panoramawindows, in the beginning of februari, with a uplighted view over the bay and over the operahouse. A memory to remember!!

The food was good and the servers were very polite but it took forever to get the food. It was also extremely difficult to get the attention of the servers, both when we wanted to order and when we wanted to get the check. At first I thought it was just overbooked the day we went, but a few of my friends had been there several times and said it had been like that every time they went. While the food was good, it was not worth the 1.5 hour wait, especially when it was quite expensive as well. On top of it all our table wasn’t ready for the time we’d booked it and we ended up having to wait 15 minuets.

Arriving just at lunch opening time we got grand outside table with sea views.
Delicious mains followed by a shared dessert were savoured unhurriedly. Finishing with a coffee and cappuccino.
Everything about here was top rate. Staff, even though very busy as the afternoon progressed, were great, friendly and pleasant.

We went to the restaurant, and they gave us a table and left. After repeatably trying to get attention to one of the waiter's busy days of watching people walking outside the restaurant, we finally got a menu, but the waiter didn't have time to take our drinking orders. After 10-15 minutes we finally got the attention of one of the waiters to order some drinks and food and after another 15 min the beer came, and after a couple of requests on where our dinner was, the food came to the table 30-40 min after our order. My dish wasn't what I ordered and I asked them why, and they said they will come with my requests. And the meat was cold so I sent it out. After 15 min the meat came back and now the meet is totally raw (I ordered medium) but I couldn't care to wait another 30 min to get my order as I liked it. The meet (tenderloin) was chewy, and hard to eat, and not a good experience. Will not go there anymore.

.it was our last dinner after completing a 2 week Scandinavian vacation. It was a terrible experience. It took over 2 hours to get our dinner! The restaurant was very crowded and there clearly were not enough waiters or cooks to handle the diners. My wife and I ordered steak and it was served completely raw. We returned it twice until it finally came out medium rare. The service was horrendous. It was one of the worst experiences that I ever had at a restaurant.
