Location and contact

Sentralen Restaurant is an informal dining venue for most occasions, serving food made from quality Norwegian ingredients and continental flavours. There aren't any white tablecloths on the tables, and we won't hover over you or top up your water or wine. If you like, you and your friends can order several different dishes which will be served ready to share. We want to create a social and rustic atmosphere around the table, with platters that are easy to dig into and share. Our menu will change frequently according to the season, and there will always be plenty of light bites as well as bigger dishes that are designed for several people. And if you find that you just can't choose between all

As visitors to Oslo we decided to go splash out on a restaurant. This restaurant has a great relaxed vibe. The staff were friendly and very helpful when it came to explaining the menu for us. We went for the 6 course tasting menu, with...More

Great location and very cozy. Delicious oysters. All other foods are so complicated that I was already tired to understand what is what before ordering. We been there 4 and 1 baby . There is no kids dishes. So she had to eat just bread...More

The restaurant has a good location in a sumptous old building, a former bank head-office, I think. The dining room is spacious and inviting with some shabby chic interior details. You'd expect to be well fed there! However, the restaurant gets off on the wrong...More

Fantastic place on all aspects. The room first, remodernized industrial room was absolutely great to have dinner in. Service then, gently offering guidance and standing high on the laid back professionalism. Food last, just blessing you, through modern Scandinavian cuisine, perfectly cooled, seasoned and dressed....More

The Sentralen has two separate sections - one for Pizza and sandwiches. In this section many visitors come to work, surf and to dine. In the restaurant section they have a more upscale menu. Halibut Ceviche, long cooked beef- all to share. The food was...More

I went there with a colleague and we really appreciated it. They serve very dishes you can share, like very elaborate tapas. It was excellent and very original like the bone marrow. But it has a price, expensive even for Oslo.

Went there for lunch on a Saturday after it was recommended to us. It started with a warm welcome even if we hadn't booked and the menu was in our hands after one minute. The waiter explained it and it is based on shared dishes....More

I left my husband in this restaurant and went off to get a take away and I couldn’t find anything to eat on this tapas style, off the wall menu. My husband loved it though.

My wife and I tried this place as it was near our hotel. Delicious food, but it veers towards the experimental, so not for fussy eaters! We had a choice of four or six small plates between us and we opted for the latter. While...More
