Macks Ohallen is an experience you will remember as a high point of your trip to Tromso, especially if you are a beer fan! With 72 beers on tap you are sure to find several you like, and the staff is willing to guide you...and advise which ones will probably satisfy your tastes. Their sampler trays have 5 glasses that are about 2Cl each so you have more than a sip of each. The bar is big, open, and at one end there is a big TV if you want to watch sports. The food is also worth considering. You can see the benefits of being the Northernmost Brewery in the country! Enjoy!More
A great place for a drink or 2 in Tromso. So many beers, the menu is just mind blowing. Thankfully the bar staff know their product, so you can tell them what you like or dislike and they will cheerfully recommend some brews for you....The vibe is great and it is a lovely old room to visit. A must-do in Tromso!More
We visited twice on our visit to Tromso. Olhallen's serves 70 plus craft beers. But beware some are very strong, Odin's Tipple is 10.5% . The place has a very friendly feel to it. There is plenty of seating and some interesting pictures and artefacts,...which probably reflect the times when fishermen and hunters would meet to share stories of their expeditions in the far north.More
Craft beer lovers dream, visited whilst on business in Tromsø. I must admit I did try a few, enjoyed the beer and the atmosphere was great. Be aware they do not serve food so make it a place to visit post meal. The different beers...are very good, expensive (it is Norway after all) but well worth the visit.More
We had heard a lot about the craft beer but were not able to make it for the tour. The next best option was to visit the oldest pub and chose their beer tasting tray. Good choice and the bar tender was good guide, providing...a good selection to taste. The range was varied and made me realize that beer comes in a variety of flavors and there is one for every one! A good place for a visit. Did not try the food thoughMore
