We got a window table with a spectacular view. I had oysters for starter and the the Catch- of -the-Day, which was a superb sei-dish. Great wine, friendly staff and an overall terrific evening.

A very nice and friendly seaffod restaurant, right next to the harbour and water. Great seafood and good winelist. Nice view and great service staff. A bit expensive, but worth the money.

Excellent fish and service in jewel box setting in the old port. The emphasis as the name implies is on fish. Our dozen oysters were sweet with delicate flavor of the sea served with just lemon and shallot and vinegar to showcase the oyster and not the topping. The entrees of halibut and salmon were perfectly executed. Flawlessly cooked. Nicely... More

As you might expect, Tromso has a fine dining, quay-side fish restaurant and this is it. Quality abounds and the service is very attentive. Once you've found the entrance (!) you can't fail to be impressed by the range of fish and sea food available. For me, the wine list is expensive (even for Tromso). Personally I found the king... The Tromsø fine dining scene is of high standard. We meticulously picked every restaurant we visited to taste a bit of everything this city has to offer. Fiskekompaniet should be your pick of you are looking for fresh seafood. Yes other places in the city center offer fish dishes that are very good but this place basically offers only that.... More

Was at fiskekompaniet and had the clipfish. Have eaten it many times in various places and this was not one of the best ones. Also it was very little food. You had to fill up on potatoes to be satisfied.

My sister and I dined here...a lobster bisque followed by the best halibut ever to pass my lips settled over a Saffron cream sauce decorated by blue mussels....heavenly. Kudos to service as well.

Our hotel recommended this place for dinner for seafood. By the water, great view. Food was mediocre, nothing special except price. Mostly customers seemed like us uninformed tourists. Did not check the two restaurants nearby, but there are quite a few choices around.
