Seafood restaurant located in the heart of Narvik, in the old market hall building in the middle of city centre. Here you can try traditional northern norwegian cuisine, as well as typical dishes with a modern twist.
We visited the restaurant in the Fiskehallen for an early evening meal. Beware the kitchen closes st 17.50. The fish soup and the artic char dishes were both extremely good as was the service. A great place to eat in Narvik
We had lunch here and had two great fish servings (Arctic Char and Cod). The fish is caught daily and prepared, served very nicely for a small restaurant attached to the fish market. The cod melted in your mouth it was so fresh. Lots of selections....More
The Fish market is open until 16:30, where one can buy some fish, or have a bite at the adjacent restaurant, that closes a little later. With nothing else to do, a 5 min pop in tells you the story of this place.

The sad thing is the chef here cooks like me. He is not able to that extra step and give you more than the sum of the parts. What you get is pleasant but it could be better. The bar has Carlsberg on tap and...More
Pros - the size of portion, English menu
Cons - I had mussels which had not been properly cleaned meaning that the ‘stew’ aka cooking water with some garlic and chilli thrown in was gritty and inedible. The service was average for Norway.
The waitress was very helpful and the food came quickly. I ordered the chef's recommendation but it was dry and tasteless and the sauce and potatoes it came with was equally unimpressive. Considering the pricing - it wasn't worth it.
