A good pot of 'moules et frites' for lunch can always be recommended. Bryggerikaia serves good mussels of the right size. With good taste and firmness, because they have lived in the chilly northern oceans where growth not goes so fast and therefor makes the...taste even better. It was a good meal.More
It was great service and the seafood is sooo delicious I recommend for it and the price is suitable for the great food we ordered fish and chips and shrimps and a fish all of if came with a creamy sous Great place
Great restaurant, friendly staff, the food is fantastic, every ingredient is fresh and the flavors are well balanced. The salads are very good, the fish and chips is a must, various selection of beers. The menu is different at lunch and dinner.
Food was ok but a lot could be improved with the service. The waiter handed us a menu and then asked us immediately if we were ready to order. We waited for 30min and he never returned to so had to order from the bartender....(Other tables were also flagging the bartender since the two waiters were inattentive). Fish soup came out cold probably because it was sitting for a long time. We thought it was maybe just a bad day so returned again to the same poor service from the waiters. Nice views on the water but not worth it!More
During a recent work trip to Bodo, Norway, to meet with the Norwegian Armed Forces, my Norwegian contact made a reservation at this truly unique Norwegian restaurant which serves traditional Norwegian cuisine. For starters, my wife and I tried whale meat for the very first...time. The appetizer was a cured whale meat served with horseradish, cucumber, red onion, sour cream, lemon, and dill. This was delicious. My Norwegian friend suggested the traditional dish of Grillet Torrfisk. This is a piece of cod that is dried and then rehydrated. It was served with baked potatoes, vegetables, butter sauce, bacon, and mustard. While a specialty of Norway, I thought the fish was rather dry and chewy. Nonetheless, the rest was tasty. My wife ordered the baked halibut served with asparagus, fennel with spring onion and chives, and butter sauce. Her dish was phenomenal. The service was great and the atmosphere perfect for getting to know my new Norwegian friend. All in all, an extremely great dinner.More
Beautiful views, great interior and delicious food... If only the waiter didn't ruin the whole experience... We didn't get any single smile the whole dinner, server was grumpy on the edge of rude. We felt kind of neglected the whole time. Observing the rest of...staff who was actually nice and smiling to their guests made us feel bit jealous. The food was great though. So the reviews are right about this part.More
Thanks to the Romanian sisters who took care of us this Friday in September Fantastic service, fantastic view and the food that was the best you can get. Mussels, cod, deer - all World class. But, the best was the romanien sisters who served us...at the table. I also hope management understand what kind of jewels they have on boardMore
We had two courses and a local craft beer. It is a delicious sea food restaurant at the Marina with a big outdoor terrace and view on the water and boats. A cute restaurant for a romantic evening or fine dining with friends.
We had a Great time at this place on a wednesday evening. The food was perfect, and even though the wine list was short, we found a nice pairing. The reataurant is welcoming and so is the staff. Go there!
Went in for a quick lunch. Great atmosphere, speedy service and delicious food. We had a burger and a shrimp sandwich, and both exceeded expectations. Recommended, and will go again on a future visit to Bodø.
I had booked a table several months ago asking for a nice table for my visit. Arriving 15 minutes early, we were led to a table close to the toilet, not my wife’s favourite spot, but the place was packed so no chance of anywhere...else. Anyway, we were seated and got a bottle of cold water and glasses, so far so good. But after 30 minutes of no attendance from anyone, other guests had arrived, got their beverages and made orders for food, I had to go to the person in charge and ask why we weren’t served. She excused that we had fallen outside the system due to many customers and promised we now would be prioritised and taken good care of, I found this excuse somewhat unnecessary since the other customers arrived after us. Anyway, after another 15 minutes we got our drinks, and the appetiser on the table at the same time. Not the best combination, but the platter with cheese and hams, olives, homemade aioli was to die for, excellent. My wife ordered clams in moules & frites and I the barbecued dried cod, and both dishes were top notch. In other words, food was impeccable. Why not giving 5 stars? I think a compensation of a free drinks or coffee would have been appropriate for the lack of attention in the first place.More
Beautiful restaurant room, lovely view, a professional and very nice waitress and really good food. And a lovely Barbera wine completed the meal. This was a great dinner!
We ordered shrimps which was recommended by the waiter and guaranteed to be local and fresh. Later it turned out that the shrimps was 3-5 days old and not local. Unfriendly crew, long waiting time made this experience a gourmet Desaster.
The very best BBQ Stockfish ever!!!! Definitely The taste of Norway. Hope this will be preserved as part of Norwegian food culture❤️❤️. All dishes my family ordered were great!
