M.Neko Sushi & Asian Dining is a newly established Asian restaurant in Lillehammer. Our goal is to bring Asian food to the other side of the world. We create our dishes by passion to present the most original flavors. Authentic and friendly is how we would describe our dishes. Our name is inspired by the sacred cat, Maneki Neko - one of the most popular symbols of Japanese culture.

Great tastes, a bit slow service

The wife wanted sushi, unfortunately a preference she is alone in. A search and a look at the menu suggested that everyone in the family would find something st m.neko. The menu has items from several asian contries and a wide selection of sushi. Everything tasted excellent. The wines and drinks menu was satisfactory. The portion size good. Minus side - slow service (saturday nite, it looked like they had a lot of take away orders to serve) - white wine served warm - no carbonated water on the menu All in all well worth the wait.

Great food, but to not accept cash is illegal

Great atmosphere, albeit a bit small in some places. The sushi was one of the best I have had - however I haven't had the opertunity to test a lot of sushi other countries. The waitress was attentive and supportive. However, in the toilet they put up a notice that said they didn't accept cash. This is against the law and downright illegal. For this, the restaurant sort of deserves no stars at all, but I will be nice and drop it down two stars since the food was excellent. I would have given a max score if not for this issue. Not accepting cash is illegal.

This restaurant came highly recommended and it was well worth to visit. It's a really nice intimate setting, warm and welcoming. I was very happy with the food I ordered, the quality was amazing and the costumer service was great.

Nice atmosphere, good food. The biggest minus is that you plate vegan products together with fish and meat products.. That's incorrect. You should ask customer if he agrees with that😊👌

Thank you for the sushi you served. The medium menu was easily made into my own by switching the sake maki into tempura maki. Great service. Enjoyed the time with you and recomend the place to everyone if you like sushi😁👍👏

The service and food was really good! The waitors were caring, and took good care of us. I had sushi and BBQ chicken pot; both were delicious! Looking forward to eating there again.

Horrible Food & OVERPRICED!!!

Crazy SiLLy expensive. Fish mediocre. Service is horrible. Restaurant empty 3 other tables and nobody to wait on you. Ordered soup that was mediocre, no flavor and mostly noodles, very little meat. . Friends had chicken and rice. The rice was horrible and tasted like chinese fried rice with ketchup. Chicken was overcooked and dry leathery. Fish quality i would give a 4. Tasted quite old. Tuna had no color, basically grey. Salmon ok, but farmed not wild, so quality is sketchy and should not be served raw. Sushi rice lacked all flavor that sushi rice should be. Not shiny, and really tasted plain and seemed like cheap rice. Rolls excessively tiny and nigiri pieces were the smallest i have ever seen. Shrimp tempura roll was ok, but again tiny but probably the best thing we ate and it was just ok, as it had no flavor until you loaded it with wasabi and ginger and soy sauce. Pretty place to sit. Menu is lacking and boring. Says asian foods, not sure what they mean. Terrible vegetarian options. 2 rolls that are vegetarian and the third has egg in it, which a lot of vegetarians would not eat. Embarrassing really as one of our friends is vegan and she was disappointed. Sweet potato roll was mostly rice and again very very tiny. Food is pretty bad and really expensive for the very very tiny sushi and nigiri you get it. Mini portions for triple the price. 2 shrimp chips to start per person. Served in a basket way too big that makes you feel like they forgot to fill or someone ate half before it reached your table. Basically overall huge disappointment with the foods and service was just horrible. I would not go back.

Pleia always be cozy here but to go to the sushi restaurant and feel you're on the rave is a little culture crack And edamam beans advertised as spicy but being served with salt are a little misleading. Really lacks atmosphere here.
