As you walk into Kay & matti's café you can't help but smile😊 fast moving vaitors in classic white shirts and black aprons slalom between small tables with tablecloths and candels. As you move towards the counter you soon realize that this is the famous cake place. WOW!! Just as famous as the cakes is the big and smiling man... More

Stopped here on our road trip from Heidal to Oslo. Lovely cakes and the savoury dishes looked good too. Good coffee and if you can climb up on to the sofas you are rewarded with a very comfy seat!

Really nice little cafe in the centre of Hamar. The owners and staff there are allways smilng and the owner Kai allways meets you with a joke. The cakes are great! But the portions are huge! Don't order both food and cake at the same time. :-) The decor is incredible. You have to see it to believe it.

Nice litle place run by two chat and food lovers in the centre og Hamar in the pedestrian street. Small dishes and an almost familiar atmosphere makes a pefect mixture. Soups are great. Big portions. Good cakes. Belgian wafles. A bit bizare interior. Just what I like. Avoid comming here during breaks in municipality and around 12 AM because employees... More

Went for lunch with a friend. I had their summer pie with salad. The "summer" seemed to be mostly cabbage with a few pieces of mushroom. My friend had beetroot soup, he said tasted odd and didn't manage to finish. Overpriced and mediocre. I won't go again.

A really favorite cafe in Hamar for lunch meetings with friends, or a very tasty cake and coffee on a Saturday in the early afternoon after shopping! Very friendly and welcoming staff and owners, and they are all very serviceminded. The interior has to be experienced, great fun.
