5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW via mobile

We went there for dinner with my boyfriend. The place is quite big so I assume won't be massively difficult to find a table even in busy nights, said that we reserved the table so I am not sure about it... The waiters are reasonably friendly, although quite busy so always running around. The food was really good, massive portions... More

Meal was good, nice atmosphere, good service, decent prices. They have great home made snaps, thoroughly recommend them. Would definitely come again.

Well, there appeared to be mixed reviews on here and so we weren't sure what to expect. On arrival we were warmly greeted by one of the waiters. We had a good seat I a non smoking part of the restaurant. Lots of taxidermy but we were ok with that. A mix of tables in the restaurant, English, American, Australian... More

There is a handfull of restaurants in Vienna where you can eat excellent Wienerschnitzel but really, if you want the best, just simply go to Purstner. The quality of meat, the service or ambience, up to the perfection of what you would expect from proper Austrian "keller". If you are not a lover of Schnitzel, do not worry. Their variation... More

This was the first place where we eat in Vienna, also because it was the first one that we managed to find a table without reservation on a Friday night. Lucky us! The place looks very Viennese, the waiters are friendly and the food really good. The schnitzel was even better than the one at Poschl (that is supposed to... More

Great Ottakring draft beers. Food was good standard Austrian fare. Great strudel. The atmosphere is amazing. Went on a Saturday evening and saw countless walk-ins turned away. Reserve if you plan to arrive after 6pm.

The restaurant looks like an old Austrian hunting lodge - very rustic. The food was good. We ordered the veal schnitzel and the pork schnitzel, which came with two types of potato salad, one cold and one hot. Both were very generous portions and came very hot. My boyfriend and I agreed that the pork was better. Definitely come for... More

This is amazing. The service is outstanding the food is faultless and very good value. The portions are enormous. We were a party of 6 and we each had different starters and main courses and without exception every dish was so good. I would 100% recommend this restaurant when in Vienna.

I loved this place. They served the largest portions of really tasty local food. I can't comment on whether it used to be better, but I was really happy with it and the atmosphere.

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
