Had a great meal here! The onion soup was superb! The Wiener schnitzel was good and the porkchop with bacon was tasty, though a bit dry. We've had a glass of their home wine, which was very nice, and a beer. For dessert- an apple strudel, which was great. For all this- 49 euros. Not cheap, but overall worth the... More

We came here for dinner after getting excellent recommendations from the hotel's concierge and for very good reason. He also assisted with a reservation was was well in place. Food was delicious, authentic and reasonably priced.

Any time we are here in Vienna, this place is always on our dine around agenda , which never let our hungry expectations down. This time we were five and ordered wiener schnietsel, taffelspitz, spare ribs. By far this selection is one of the best in Vienna. Portions are big with a sizable side dish. Thus, mind whether you really... More

We ate here because of the great reviews on TripAdvisor. It was the best meal we had in Vienna... SO GOOD! We both went for the schnitzel - it's so good. The local wine and beers were great. Good service and the restaurant it's self is really quirky & traditional. My advice would be to book as lots of people... More

Been here tonight with my wifeand kids. We had a very nice Diner. Wiener Schnitzel, Gordon blue, Schwein medaillon mit champignon knödeln and one with spinat knödeln. This is a real "must visit" restaurant!

We got in just in time to sneak in lunch before all the reservations, and I am glad we did. The schnitzel and beef goulash were fantastic, and the portions were huge. We left the place more than satisfied (and a little stunned with food).

Nice restaurant in the center of Vienna. It looks very rustic and the service is appropriate but not fine dining. Nonetheless, we wanted to have our first real wienerschnitzel in Vienna and we were told that Puerstner's was the best. It proved to be true. You need to work up an appetite to finish your plate. The schnitzel is this... More

Went on a Saturday night at 6:30. I was able to email the restaurant the night before and was able to get a great seat inside of a large barrel. The spareribs included two racks of ribs and the potatoes. A nice night all around in Vienna.

We had a hugely satisfying dinner here, fantastic value, good choice of wines and outrageous portions!! I ordered the ribs which came with a white cabbage salad, excellent! Sit back, 2 full racks of ribs..... the goulash was also delicious, suggest sharing some of the plates. Cozy atmosphere and friendly, enthusiastic staff. Right across from Porgy & Bess Jazz Bar.... Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
