The good thing is, if it's your birthday and you bring two friends, you get a meal for free, which is very generous. The bad thing is, the food is expensive and average at best. I don't want to go back, you can eat better for less. It's one of the places that is hyped for no reason, which explains... More

Had breakfast there...food was good...it's very popular with the locals and tourists, especially in the evenings when it's more of a lounge bar....

The food was fabulous. Well seasoned, creative and well presented. The atmosphere is charming and comfortable. It took forever to place and order and then longer to actually get it. I am in the hospitality industry and am sensitive to busy restaurants needing a bit more time but, it wasn't. Go for the food but prepare to sit awhile

A great place we stumbled across which has a lovely courtyard at the rear. Staff were very friendly and the menu was excellent in terms of choice and value. They also sold a great Weiss bier. Definately worth a visit.

Nice staff. Very welcoming, serving and they understand english pretty well, which is suprisingly rare in Vienna. Good food. Fish, meats, all kinds of salads and veggies, lentils, peas and more. I believe anyone could find something for their taste. Reasonable pricing. I suppose you could spend less if you don't care much about food quality and health, or more,... More

For a nice cafe like "Caffe Latte" the quality of the milkshake was pretty bad, and actually one of the worst that I have ever tasted. It was more like a smoothie and not like an original milkshake. The strawberries used was so tangy and sour, and the taste was not rounded. I was expecting more from the milkshake, especially... More

The wait staff were very friendly and prompt . I started off with an Aperol/Prosecco & then ordered a combo Lunch . My menu : Chickpea... More

I have gone to Caffe Latte for my birthday the last few years to use their birthday special of a free meal. I really like the vegetarian choices on the menu. The food is always good, and the cocktails as well. This time, my waitress forgot my dinner order, but she was very gracious, and gave me a free Prosecco... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
