Arrived at this restaurant on a cold rainy night without reservation. We had to wait at the bar for a couple of minutes until a table was found for us. The menu was extensive and we ordered all the traditional Vienna traditional food. Schnitzel, Goulash etc. Our waiter Roman was excellent and the service was impeccable. The food was also... More

Very good vianese cuisine in a a friendly atmosphere. The house is also a brewery and the choices of beer are another reason to visit this restaurant.

This wonderful traditional restaurant nestling in the green ambience of Vienna's vineyards and slopes boasts one of the best Wiener Schnitzels you could eat in the city. This represents the signature dish of Austria' varied and derivative cuisine and should not be missed! I strongly recommend the Styrian salad which perfectly complements the breaded veal or pork dish.

It's an ok place to have some food but I it does not represents the viennese traditional eatery. If you are in grinzing and not going elsewhere, this is prob one of the best options.

I heard about it from friends that live in Vienna, they were saying that steaks there were amazing. I ordered a burger, which was good, although not the best I ever had. The food that my friends ordered looked delicious, but I didn't get a change to taste it.

This is my second visit to Figls. I have an addiction for schnitzel and potato salad. Figls is at the top of the world ranking! The service is great, friendly and help you to pair food with an amazing selection of beers and wine. Awesome!

1st time in Vienna with my family, and we went to Figls to eat famous meal: Weiner Schnitzel. Excelent choice as everything was fantastic (place, athmosphere, service and food). By the way, we were told that in Vienna restaurants the service its not good, well, this is another reason to visit Figls, they were fantastics. Although there were 3 infants... More

If you are like me and think that Austrian food is disgusting, just go here and you will change your mind. Of course there is nothing surprising, but well grilled meat with delicious fatty starter, cool nice beer and all the rest are done like at home. Should go there if you like meat, fatty food, beer and wine. but... More

Neighborhood Profile
Vienna’s poshest green leafy suburb is also its most romantic hotspot. Walk up Grinzinger Strasse with its many historic wine taverns. The tops of nearby Nussberg and Reisenberg hills make for great strolls through the vineyards, and the occasional discovery of a hidden winery. Popular local weekend hangouts are Neustift am Walde with even more great wine taverns, and café restaurant Cobenzl, up on Cobenzl hill – fantastic for great vistas of Vienna. The woodland around Kahlenberg has a wonderful and not too strenuous hiking path - just don't forget the insect repellent. If you have adventurous children, take them to Waldseilpark Kahlenberg (forest rope park Kahlenberg). A must-do if you want a taste of the Vienna Woods is a stop at Josefinenhütte next door with its great food, cosy interiors and wonderful outdoor space.
