Took a party of 17 business men and all enjoyed the meal, atmosphere, and superb service. Can't say enough about the excellent wait staff. Bill very reasonable for 3 courses, wine, beer, and coffees. Book ahead, we tried to pop back in the next night but they were packed.

Dined at Skopik and Lohn on a Thursday evening with reservation. The entire meal was great. The restaurant was very clean, had a wonderful modern decor with nice music and lighting. The service was excellent. From the matre'd to our waiter. The service was experienced, polite, and genuinely helpful. We had, the cauliflower truffled soup, the beetroot appetizer, the sweet... Very nice restaurant to spend time with your nearest either for friends/family event or for romantic evening with your beloved. Cuisine is very tasty, ambient atmosphere, nice staff. At Friday and weekend evenings restaurant can be fully booked, so it is more secured to reserve the table in advance or it is quite risky to get in. We were lucky... More

I came here with my boyfriend and we were delighted with the food and the service. The restaurant has a very cool atmosphere and the food is delicious. But what makes this place special, is the outstanding customer service. I'm so happy we were able to dine here while in Vienna and I recommend anyone travelling to this city to... More

I enjoy my food eat out a lot in Bristol and I can honestly say this is the best eating experience that I have had in a long while. It's difficult to choose on the menu as all sound delicious. Ambience, service great. The food was exceptional. The cauliflower soup with truffle oil was michelin standard.

A little off the beaten track ... a local restaurant with a good following and lovely ambience. Inventive food at sensible prices. Definitely worth seeking out.

Loved Skopik & Lohn. Has exactly the right vibe of a friendly, neighborhood restaurant, but with lots of style. Weather was nice, so we sat outside. Wait staff is thoroughly professional. Menu is small, but so inspiring. Had a tongue appetizer, followed by beef cheeks. So delicious. Bread is first rate. nice wine. candles on the tables... every detail was... More

Even tho we had the early seating at 6:00 pm, we had a truly fine night of eating, ambiance, and service. LIbor, our server and his able assistant never let us down. For such a fine establishment with the best food, we had the fish and lamb, these white coated Waiters, so Buddy Holly in their outfits, served in the... More

Upon arrival we were greeted by the hospitable staff and the great interior, unique style to this restaurant! With the flake of anticipation, we were looking forward to our Wiener Schnitzel. It's a good job we were happy to sink our drinks while we waited for the food to come out, that was the only real downside about the time... More

We went for a pre-concert dinner. Ambience is wonderful and original; we were given a nice large centrally located table. My meal was delicious: marinated mackerel for a starter and ombrina with almond puree for entree. A very nice wine selection. Service impeccable. I will definitely return on my next visit to Vienna.

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
