Really lives up to its reputation as one of the top 10 restaurants in the world. I opted for the tasting menu (a must) along with the wine pairing, and the meal was absolutely exquisite. Despite being rather stuffed before the meal was over, I ate every morsel off my plate. Service was first class. Even the bread, cheese and... More

I realize this is a Michelin star restaurant and that it's supposed to be something very very special. I think the food was good but the service was patronizing. I felt like we were doing them a favor by having the privilege to eat there. It was super expensive and that's to be expected when the food and the service... More

Reputation as the most impressive restaurant in Vienna and only double Michelin starred establishment, so expectations were high. Had the tasting menu. Pre-starters amazing. Bread trolley look incredible though bread was hit and miss. The food was exceptionally good and very well presented. The negatives. Service was rather cold, impersonal and not at all warm. No one said good bye... More

Was just looking for breakfast in Stadtpark and found this beautiful spot. Got a table right away on the terrace and servers were very helpful in accommodating mixed menu selections. The setting was lovely and relaxing. Great way to start a long day of walking and museum touring.

Dining here is an experience. Prior to the main course we were given a range of different amuse-bouches presented with little cards for each snack describing ingredients used. I really liked the part when the waiters were approaching with specialized carts. First the bread cart featuring more than twenty different breads and we could choose what we liked. Try the... More

Me and my boyfriend recently had the pleasure of dining at the two Michelin Star restaurant Steirereck - which was an overall pleasant experience which presents itself as a feast that you eat more with the eyes than with the actual taste buds. From our entrance, we knew we were in for a treat. The building - while overlooking a... More

I have heard so many good reviews about this restaurant and especially after really long waiting period for a table (around 4 weeks) I unfortunatelly expected out of it much much more. Long story short: We had 6 course menu, from my point of view, too much vegetable in each course and I couldnt taste much of the flavours. Some... More

Steirereck in the city park of Vienna is the finest restaurant in my opinion. I love the architecture of the building. It's an old building with a modern extension. The service is professional and very friendly. I visit al least once a year this restaurant, since I love the food and wine so much, but it's a very expensive dinner.... More

We tried several 1-2-3 stars reaturants in France - so it was time to go and eat at Steirereck, after all we live in Vienna. The building at the park looks stunning, and the room, all in soft gray and beige is nice too. Service is welcoming and fast (I was wondering about other reviews about rude service, ours was... All absolutely top, food, service, design, location. We even had our kids with us, and as usual in a star restaurant the lunch took a little longer, they enjoyed it too and went playing in the park at the end... a MUST when in Vienna and if you enjoy high end cuisine

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
