Nice staff, fast service, excellent food, good athmosphere. The place was almost full, but we got our wiener schnitzels surprisingly fast and despite of the crowd the waiters were friendly, patient.

Great atmosphere from entering to drinks or food! Recommended to stop by if you’re in the area as it’s not what the ratings state at all. Drinks good, food good …just one to give a chance to.

If there's one brewpub I know I'm going to visit on any holiday I take this most beautiful of city's it's Plutzerbrau ,a great brewpub serving amazing Czech beers. I love the look of this brewpub ,brew vats prominently on display ,an eye catching serving...bar ,wonderful decor and furnishings and lots of seating options ,we visited on the run up to Christmas so this brewpub had a stall outside serving hot wine which we enjoyed before going into this brewpub. We sat near the serving bar were we ordered Velkopopovicky Kozel ,these were served in pristine condition ,we chilled out and took in the great brewpub we were in. A big fan of this Czech beer ,been to Prague and Pardubice many ,many times and I have developed a real taste for this beer ,it's a light ,hoppy and unpretentious lager style beer bursting with taste ,when it's served freezing cold as in this brewpub it's such a refreshing beer indeed,it was just so good being in such a great brewpub enjoying a quality beer and sat with my twin brother Stephen who is the best beer companion in the world. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on to the Christmas market outside this brewpub and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Plutzerbrau is easy to locate along Schrankgaße just off Ecke Stiftgaße. Opening hours are; Monday to Friday,3pm till midnight. Saturday & Sunday,11.30am till midnight. A wonderful brewpub ,most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.More

Plutzer Bräu on Schrankgasse is one of the many pubs/bars and restaurants which we visited on our six day trip to Vienna. One of several brew-pubs and beer bars which we visited in this superb area of Vienna where there's also a superb Christmas Market. Plutzer...Bräu has a superb interior with lots of interesting fixtures and features relating to Czech Republic beer's.With lots of good seating options throughout the whole pubs interior and friendly staff'It's a great place to relax and unwind with a couple of beers or a meal. We visited this wonderful brew-pub early in the evening and it was really busy and one of the first things we noticed was the beers on offer were Velkopopovický Kozel a very good Czech Republic beer.We took a seat by the bar and ordered a few pints of beer which were superb and for the beers which we were having were well priced. This is a superb brew-pub in a superb area of Vienna and is well worth a visit and easy to find from Stiftgasse tram stop it's a short walk.(This is my first review of Plutzer Bräu). Opening Hours. Monday-Friday-15.00-00.00. Saturday-Sunday-11.30-00.00. Public Transport. Tram Stop. Stiftgasse tram stop.More

Went here for lunch, without reading the revues. Our mistake... We found a table in the quiet part of the establishment and it took at least 15 minutes before anyone noticed us and we got our menues, after ordering it took another 10 minutes to...get the water, and onother 15 minutes to bring our bottle of wine. More then one hour(!) after we arrived, we got our food. We had ordered two «Tarte flambe» but got only one, but since we had waited so long we did not bother to say anything. The wine was nice and the food tasty, but definitly not worth waiting so long for...More

We visited a place nearby for lunch, which unfortunately was closed, so as we carried luggage we decided to try Plutzer Brau without reading the reviews first. Yes, we wanted to feel like the '90s again. Food was not bad, but the blonde lady gives...bad reputation to the place. She did come out and invited us in when she saw us looking at the menu, but then she did not allow us to sit on the right side of an empty restaurant, because we had luggage with us. Then, I point my selection in the english menu and she couldn't understand what salad was that, she had to bring the german menu. Worst thing, I am trying to pay with my UK credit card, so she brings the check and POS. As usual, POS shows that I can pay the same amount but be charged in GBP. So, I say to her select the GBP amount and she nods no and selects the EUR amount!! Wtf, I should have told her to cancel the transaction and start over. I was charged extra for the EUR-GBP use by my bank because she declined that simple request. There are great places in Vienna to dine in and they are not one of them.More

Still asking myself why I did not checked this place, as my coordinator booked table for a small business meeting. Spare ribs were oversalted, chicken completely burnt. No English speakeling personell. Even if we were the only guests there, service was veeeery slow. In the...end, when we asked desserts, our waiter told about tiramisu that it is "dangerous, as eggs were smelling as they were damaged by the heat. Never come here.More

Been to Plutzer Brau quite a few times now and always had a great time and so it proved on our latest visit to this most beautiful of city's. This bar looks cool, wood panelled walls, great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar,...rows of shiny beer vats prominently on display and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Schrankgasse. We were here on a Sunday late afternoon, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who served us a beer each,we opted to have a beer from the Czech Republic and we both opted to have a Kozel beer ,these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and as is the norm with kozel beer with a big foamy head, we just chilled out and took in the great bar we were in. My kozel beer was outstanding, kozel beer is such a light, hoppy and unpretentious beer bursting with taste, very easy to drink, a great beer to enjoy on a hot afternoon. We really enjoyed our beers in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another beer each before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Plutzer Brau is easy to locate on Schrankgasse. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, 10am till Midnight. A great bar,if your in the area well worth checking out.More

We went there for a few drinks and some late night snacks. A hot day, so maybe the waiter was already fed up with his job ... nevertheless he seemed quite impatient though the place was not crowded at all. Had a Hugo first where...there was one brown peppermint leave swimming on top - elsewise I would have hardly noticed that it was a Hugo at all. The "Brauhausbrot" was difficult to eat/cut and did not even taste nicely. Beer was o.k - but there's hardly anything you could mess up with serving beer ;-) All in all: there are other and better places to see in this area ...More

Ignorant, nationalistic waiter, no menu in English because it is supposed to be an "Austrian" restaurant, xenophobia at its best. Left the place because of no service

I had a dinner there with my family group. We had a reservation there at 19:30 and the order was taken at around 20:00. While I was ordering the food the waiter just went away without an explanation. So, as it was noisy in order...to facilitate the order we wrote down the food on a piece of paper and we handed it over to him. After an hour of waiting, while other table had already received the food in the meantime, the food came and there was a mistake. The waiter told us that it was our mistake so I asked him to show me the paper we had given him, which was obviously lost. Anyway he very rudely claimed that it was our mistake and we just had to admit it. We were all so upset by the rudeness and nonsenseless of the situation that we forgot how the food tasted.More

The food here was nice enough as it's the atmosphere but note that they charge you for tap water and 1€ for ketchup for chips. Then they made us wait over 30 mins to post because their machine didn't work then they asked us to...walk 15 mins in the cold to the closest ATM. Eventually they got the machine working so we didn't have to cut they weren't apologetic at all. Probably this is a restaurant for tourists.More
