A great option for those who prefer vegetarian food. Located close to Naschmarkt but tucked away in this quaint passage it has a fabulous courtyard. The food is lovely and you get chirping sparrows for company.

It's one of the best and cozy places I have visited in Vienna! You can enjoy the outdoor terrace of this small restaurant, which is very cheap, very tasty. They serve very friendly and sometimes you even feel that you are in a family restaurant, where everyone is a family member. Seems you sit in your summer house garden and... More

An amazing place, a must visit in Vienna for all the veggie lovers, a very cozy place tasty food rather on the inexpensive side, the staff was very friendly and helped me pick a nice assortment of foods for our evening, accompanied by soothing music we had a very good time after shooping for hours in the nearby stores. Highly... More

The most exiting place, small terrace where the restaurant is situated, makes your time there even more enjoyable. you can order the most healthy and non-expensive dishes and meanwhile enjoy your time in a very beautiful place. if you are in Vienna, Nice Rice restaurant is a MUST visit place. truly recommend!

This nice & tiny restaurant proves that vegetarian does not mean boring. Good food and nice people. Huge portions. Nice atmosphere. Positive vibes.

I love this place: it's located in a quiet, peaceful area, close to the city center. The coffee is yummy and the food portions are really generous and delicious (I love their salads)! The atmosphere is friendly and so are the waitresses. We enjoyed the outdoor seating!

It is mediocre place in Vienna. The atmosphere was not so special. I drunk a ginger cold tee with mint. It was very avarage. Stuff were ok but they were slowly a little bit. I haven't tried the food. So you can give a try.

Nice Rice is an incredibly delicious restaurant hidden down an alleyway off Mariahilferstrasse. It is one of the very best restaurants in Vienna and compares favourably with restaurants anywhere. As an added bonus it is entirely vegetarian. Getting to Nice Rice takes a bit of conviction. It is located close to Neubaugasse station but is not at all obvious street-side.... More

Neighborhood Profile
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
