Very nice wine bar, simple plates with excellent meats and cheeses. Good service. Very fair prices. Would gladly return to next time in Vienna.

A few meters away from the crowded Stephansplatz this little gem was an excellent choice for dinner. There’s a great selection of local wines -each one with its own story, told by the owner of the bar- and a few appetizers/platters to share. The portions...More

We found this place while we were in Vienna for 2 days. It is a small place with only a few seats so if you're a bigger group, don't forget to book in advance to secure a table. Only Austrian wines are served. People that...More

Fantastic place to try Austrian wines. The host is very approachable and knowledgeable. We intend to return on our next trip. Excellent place to book prior to a concert, or drop in to. I only wish we had found it earlier in our stay. The...More

What a gem of a place. Small but nicely finished interior with a handful of tables on the pavement/sidewalk. We spent several hours enjoying the 6 Red Tasting along with some cheese, charcuterie and house made hot appetizers (tapas style) which were delicious. We were...More

Had the winetasting menu of 5 whites and 3 reds and especially the Riesling and the Zweigelt was excellent. Also tried the small sausage and cheese mix and great stuff and bread high quality also. Over all great and highly recommended!

We really enjoyed the wine tasting and the meat and cheese tray was delicious. It was fun to learn about typical Austrian wines.

Old University Quarter
North of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Vienna suddenly
turns small, winding and medieval, opening up to
legendary places such as the Basilisk sculpture at
Schönlaterngasse, as well as glamorous baroque
façades, courtyards and churches. Take 45 minutes for
a casual stroll through Bäckerstrasse,
Sonnenfelsgasse, Köllnerhofgasse, Grashofgasse, and
Schönlaterngasse. This quarter is packed with stories
