Friendly staff, good location, ok prices, great wine. But the most important-amazing food made of high quality ingredient. We payed around 250 euros for the 5 course dinner with the wine menu for two persons.

Located in the magnificent Imperial Hotel, Opus is one of the finest restaurants in Vienna. We opted for the one of the tasting menus, where you still get to make your preferences known, together with the wine pairing. We started with 5 or 6 gifts from the chef of small treats, then on to the main tasting menu, where every... More

The OPUS, the formal dining venue at the Imperial, is stylish for sure. The menu is excellent in its variety and (from having eater there) in its quality. The service is just the same eating at someone's mansion with a butler and server in attendance at all times. You will think you are ordering, say, a 3-course dinner. But be... More

What a fantastic restaurant! I selected this restaurant for a Sunday evening to celebrate my partner's 30th birthday. We went to Fabios the night before for a more bar-y atmosphere but I decided for a more decadent dining experience on her birthday, which Opus definitely fit the bill. The setting - within Hotel Imperial is very impressive. It definitely has... More

This was one of the most interesting dinners I've ever had. We had a lot of fun tasting all of the wonderful courses they brought out and trying to identify the various surprising elements. The chef is a real magician! The wine pairings were spot-on. The bar at the hotel lobby was a nice place to have a pre-dinner drink.... More

The dinner at Opus was unforgettable. The dishes were amazingly presented and delicious. Ten points for a vegetarian menu option and innovative ways of preparing vegetables.

As an opera lover who prefers after performance dinner, there are not many great choices. This is a wonderful restaurant !, At first I was sorry that the old Imperial was gone, but this is alovely, less stuffy restaurant with an innovative menu. Service is terrific and personal. Staff cannot do enough to make your experience memorable. The inventive, exuberant... More

Initially this place feels a bit old fashioned and maybe stuffy, but this is deceiving. In fact it is a first class restaurant serving imaginative and really tasty dishes beautifully presented. We opted for one of the tasting menus with accompanying wines. I think there were meant to be 5 courses, but with all the small extra dishes, I reckon... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
