Went there on my way to Albertina for quick coffee with some cakes with family. Coffee was ok, cakes rather mediocre - looking very good, tasting not really. Prices high, service very strict, maybe professional but without this nice personal touch. There are better places in Vienna.

The Viennese really do take their coffee seriously. Even Albertina serves up a good ambience for coffee during the summer months. Although it is a restaurant, it’s terrace is a perfect spot for coffee and enjoying the views surrounding the palace. Vienna’s very serious coffee culture has its legend created during the siege of the Ottoman Empire. After they failed... More

We headed to DO & CO after the Opera based on a suggestion by the concierge at our hotel, Park Hyatt. It was hidden up the escalator just around the corner from the Opera House. My family needed a break from the local cuisine. Everything we had was delicious, including the local wine. Started with Calamari which my kids were... More

We came here after an Opera Performance and had a late dinner. Suhsi was great, service perfect and nice winelist with a good local choice. Interior is discreet and elegant. A place to return...

I love the round tables, the atmosphere and of course the food. The Do & Co Sushi special is really special. Make sure you always leave a place for dessert. Best is everyone order a different one so you can share. You visit before the Albertina museum. After lunch you make a round in the museum shop with your friends.... More

Albertina location is wonderful, interiors of restaurant nothing special, food not great. Love blackened Cod, which I have eaten numerous times in London and NY... but Vienna version was overcooked fish without taste for €33.00 the plate, for Vienna pricey.

Last minute reservation on Christmas day. Didn't realize that it was the "cafe" for the Albertina (museum). Food was ok, but nothing spectacular. Pricing was very high given quality and quantity of food. If you have to eat while visiting the Albertina, it may do. If not, there are too many great restaurants within walking distance.

Imagine being hungry with two small kids after visited the nice museum - main courses around 25-30 EUR... A solution is to rise quickly the blood sugar level with carrot cake, Sacher and similar stuff and walk to a more reasonably prices restaurant. However, I enjoyed it. Nice and attending service. Higher class place.

We had a late lunch before going for the exhibition at the Albertina. The food was really tasty and fresh with great local wine to go with. The place had a friendly buzz with families having lunch, ladies coming for coffe and cakes and business people having discussion while eating. Absolutely recommendable for lunch!

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
