It’s busy and not immediately obvious how service works: head in and either wait for a table down or upstairs. You’ll be seated with a c. 15 min wait with a line from the middle of stairs. Waiting staff take drinks order and you then...More

Able to take a quick tour of restaurant. Beautiful place with a great spread of various cakes and pastries. Would’ve loved to eaten there but it was very crowded.

The shop is picture perfect and very photogenic. The queue starts at the bottom of the stairs then continues at the top of the stairs and then inside cafe at the top. Very well organised. Great selection of cakes which you go up to the...More

Quintessential Vienna coffee house. Great cakes and coffees, as well as store where you can buy goodies to take home. Drawback: there’s always a long line.

It takes some time to find free places, but it really worth to wait. We recommend you to sit at a bar where very kind Ludmila can offer you Demel's the most delisios sweets. Annatorte & Anna Demel Kaffee were really great.

Our tour guide recommended Demel for coffee and strudel in the city centre. We arrived with great expectations and were sadly disappointed from the moment we walked upstairs. There were eight people in our group and firstly we were refused a table to seat us...More

Best carrot cake ever!! I regularly endure the line and the masses of tourists just for a piece of it.

I went to Demel some years ago and found it absolutely good, wonderful cake selection and adequate prices. That's why yesterday, Sunday (during All Saints' day holiday 'long weekend'), I wanted to buy a slice of the famous Sacher Torte for my boyfriend's birthday for...More

I didn't see any items marked as gluten-free although their menu and shop has an extensive selection. Maybe they do cater for people with coeliac disease and it is probably mentioned on their website.
