A beautiful restaurant had us expecting a wonderful first evening in Vienna. My husband's main course arrived with my soup starter, I requested my main course so that we could eat our dinner together. Even after a complaint to the waiter who obviously didn't appreciate a complaint from a woman my food didn't arrive for another 15 minutes, by that... More

The best cafe I've ever been to. Very reasonable despite being in the main tourist area and a stop on the hop on hop off bus. Very accommodating and friendly a staff. Romantic and intimate atmosphere. Gorgeous decor and delicious food. Couldn't recommend more

This is one of the places, where other than implicitly experienced, they have explicitly mentioned that you dont have to wait to be seated ... A cool place close to the rathausplatz christmas market which bring back your energy and enthusiasm We had a duck, cheese dessert and a cuvee wine which was amazing and more than enough for both... Took business associates here for drinks and bite to eat. Very good schnitzel as is oft reported. But, waiter refused to give me the check and passed it to my male colleague despite he being my guest. The waiter even suggested he should give the check to the man even if the man is not paying. Simply not on. Don't... More

Dear Rachel K, I am so sorry we did not meet your expectations. Best service and high quality in the outstanding historic environment of our traditional Grand Cafe since 1873 is what we offer. I am glad to hear that our Wiener Schnitzel had tasted. All the more regrettable that our service made a mistake. I would like that hopefully... More

If you haven't tastes the appfelstrudel at the famous Landtmann cafe in Vienna you really missed something! We also had lunch at this marvelous place. As good as the strudel!! However service is not quick. Count a good hour to an hour and a half for lunch.

We just called in on the off chance after visiting the nearby Christmas market on a busy Saturday evening. We must have dropped lucky and got a seat in the outer area with a view of the magnificent Christmas tree outside. The food was delicious and filling. Can thoroughly recommend.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
