I went to this restaurant for a birthday party. The restaurant is not very big,so you must reserve if it is a big group. The atmosphere is very good and the waiters and owner are extremely friendly. I was happy to see that most of the food is homemade food and very tasty. The tortilla and the croquetas were very... More

A nice little restaurant owned by a Spaniard, nice atmosphere and good food. It is nice to see that most of the food is done in-house, with the tortillas been done by the owner (and none of that frozen hell), the croquetas are magnificent and are the kind your grandmother would do in Spain, again none of that frozen mistreat.... I have visited this restaurant multiple times. Every time the food was amazing! The plates are simple, fresh and delicious. The service is very good, which is hard to find in Vienna. The meatballs, peppers, cheese plates and croquets are a must try. You will not be disappointed!!!

I visited this restaurant my first day in Vienna as it is close to the hotel I stayed and it was one of the few options open for a Saturday evening. They only have tapas so dont expect big portions of food but they make the work. The staff is friendly as they are Spanish so very warm and make... More

Cosy, authentic, simple restaurant. Great freshly made tapas. Very friendly service. Great if you want to have a nice, casual dinner with friends or family. Will definitely visit again!

It's fun to have small portions of so many different dishes! Sure, tapas aren't mains but order enough and you'll be full anyway. They certainly offer a big enough selection for that, so don't hesitate to come here for a proper meal. The waitress was super friendly and the service was fast. I found this place through TA and I... More

We visited the restaurant on a Wednesday and besides us, only 3 other tables were occupied, which I wouldn't expect due to the high rating on Tripadvisor. The choice of dishes was a little limited, so I would advise to add some. The dishes that were served were delicious!! The thing we missed was the Spanish atmosphere ; we would... More

After 4 days in Wien trying different restaurants, we ( i and my husband) had our dinner there today. Unfortunately for paella you need to call in advance. We had tapas and desert which were quite good comparing the experience in Wien up to now. Sangria was a bit too sweet. Atmosphere was so relaxing and cosy. Waiters were friendly... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
