'Loca' is not your average restaurant. If you are looking for a rich choice of different dishes, Loca is not for you: If you are openminded and trust the cook and the waiter, come here and you won't regret it. The restaurant offers a menu of up to 6 courses. All of them were fantastic, the creative and talented cook... More

Being from California, we are used to the farm to table concept, and Loca embraced that culinary concept to the max. Fresh ingredients brilliantly presented by our waiter Andreas, but the added bonus is the wine pairings for each course on the prix fixe six course menu. Local Austrian wines were a rare treat, many from small vineyards. You can... More

if you're smart enough to find this place, make sure you're served by Andreas, whose English is impeccable. you want to feel good about what you eat but still have LAMB, VEAL, etc? this is your place. I had the butterfish appetizer, the gazpacho and the lamb (die for). wines are largely local and reasonable. don't be dumb- loca stands... More

We had dinner here and thought it was fantastic. The restaurant focuses on gluten free and healthy food or local food which tastes fantastic. We arrived quite early and ordered a la carte rather than the set tasting menu which looked like excellent value. We had a seasonal salad and also the monkfish with mango and soya - both entrees were... More

As a curious group of 3 travelling across Europe in celebration of a 30th birthday, Loca held delights previous unknown to us. Interestingly, the menu was immediately discarded, and we were treated to a highly creative, immaculately presented series of courses. Each dish was an adventure in its own right, from Strawberry Gazpacho Soup to Veal Steak, accompanied by a... More

We just finished a ten day trip through Austria. We are all serious foodies - owning restaurants and bars. This meal was one of our very best. Fabulous food, great atmosphere - we sat outside - there were six of us for this meal. Every morsel - well thought out, brilliant. We would all go back in a flash. We... More

Warmly welcomed by the one waiter who was super friendly and never stopped working. He explained that the restaurant uses local foods and offers a fixed-price menu (not mandatory) without processed foods or sauces. The menu seems complicated at first glance, but all the dishes are not complicated but rather bathed in sauces with natural ingredients. Menu is innovative, creative,... More

There were only 2 tables full and the rest empty. They said they are fully booked- won't be eating there! Not sure if they don't like Americans or didn't like the way I dressed or what

Dear Rdy2Rde! I don´t know your Problem. You did not book a table, like any other guests of our Restaurant and you did not get a table. Even you see an empty Restaurant, it might be fully booked. We don´t care about your Outfit and certainly we don´t care where are you from, if we are not taking anymore guests... More

We eat here on our second to last night in Vienna and this place has cemented Vienna in hearts. The Owner has a certain style about him and you instantly like him, the food is excellent and from the moment we stepped in we both felt welcomed and at ease. This is a small place which made us also feel... More

Loved Loca - the food, the wine, the ambience, and the service. Both times we visited it was perfect, and on the second occasion the team went out of their way to ensure that we had different dishes than just the week before. The culinary highlight of our trip to Vienna and highly recommended.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
