Went there on a Friday night - made no reservations, walked right in and Albert made room for us. Very small but extremely cozy place. Had a great wiener schnitzel and saw the neighbouring table had what seemed like the most fantastic fish dish which we definitely want to come back and try. The waiter, Albert, makes an incredible Rocky... More

Love the nauchmarkt. Chose this tiny place because it's a fish market on one side and fine dining on the other. I had the best sea bass ever and my husband loved the risotto which had lobster and shrimp in profusion. The whole place seats maybe twelve people inside in winter but expands to 80 with warmer weather. Service was... More

Found this small restaurant while strolling around the Naschmarkt this past week. It is connected to the fresh fish monger that backs onto the restaurant. The quality of the food and presentation were among the best I have ever had. Went with the turbot as the main course and cheese cake for desert. Both were delicious. The staff were very... More

Tiny restaurant in Naschmarkt with tables inside & out. Skipped starter, fresh bread arrived with 3 dips.; ordered grilled fish for two at 55 euro - looked amazing & tasted better! Bed of grilled veg (pots., courgettes, peppers, mange tout, peas, mushrooms & cherry toms) topped with grilled salmon, tuna, swordfish, gilt head bream, sea bass; & a simple green... More

Walking through the open market here we saw many restaurants. We passed several and came upon Fisch Viertel. They feature fresh seafood and fish from the local market vendors. Our group chose several different meals. All we're cooked in a small kitchen next to our table. Every dish was delicious. Other market restaurants had similar offerings, but their staff, owners,... We ate here twice during our recent stay in Vienna, once as a couple - had a schnitzel each, and then again as a group of 4 adults plus a 5 year old. It was the most enjoyable meal of our holiday. It is not cheap - the bill was about 260 euros, but in addition to mains we had... More

We were recommended to the naschmarkt and found this fantastic restaurant. Unpretentious but very high quality. There were 7 of us and we had 3 mixed sea food and shell fish platters. Marvellous. Lovely local white wine too. Simply outstanding and very good value. Service was brilliant

I searched for fish in Vienna and this one came up as recommended and I am glad I went. I had gone to a movie, then a museum and wanted to have a nice fish dinner. Fisch Viertel is small but at 8pm I had no problem getting a table. The woman who greeted me was very attentive and friendly.... More

We went to Fisch Viertel for a quick dinner and were so impressed that we came back two days later for the works. One would expect that a fish restaurant would stock a good variety of fresh fish and know how to prepare it and Fisch Viertel does not disappoint. The side dishes were amazing in their simple creativity; pumpkin... More
