Wonderful staff! I tried to order outside of my comfort zone so I could experience the Hungarian dishes and I was never disappointed. Great first night on my trip to Vienna

We were very pleased with service and food. Great cocktails too. Lamb and duck dishes were awesome and the servers were very helpful. We dined early on a Saturday and it was quiet, even though most tables were occupied.

We needed a quiet dinner while our river cruise was docked overnight in Vienna. Easy trip on the Underground, intimate dining outside, good food, nice wine list and excellent service!!

Found this restaurant through Trip Advisor and booked based on their excellent reviews. Best thing we did while in Vienna. The food was fabulous ... tasty, innovative and immaculately presented. The wait staff were exceptional - attentive without being obtrusive and with an encyclopedic knowledge of the menu and the wine list. The courtyard had a great ambience. The owners... More

On a side street in Mariahilfer, a little out of the tourist mania of central Vienna, Mini specializes in "Hungarian-inspired" cuisine, whatever that is. A little vorspiesch of duck pate was followed by fantastic foie gras soaked in Tokay, Hungary's sweet dessert wine. It was served with figs, fig jam, brioche. My wife had mushroom duxelles in mille feuille with... More

Visited this restaurant during our vacation in Europe. It was one of our best meals during 2 week stay. Food and service were excellent. English menu was available plus staff spoke English very well. Portions are not huge but not small either. We were happy with all of our food choices. Very pleasant experience!

I thoroughly enjoyed the food in this place. Everything was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious in taste. We ordered some popular dishes like the duck breast risotto and the goats cheese salad as well as some less popular dishes such as the foie gras and grilled fish with pak choi. The wine pairing was brilliant as well! This is the... More

Booked a table here after reading the trip advisor reviews. It didn't disappoint, the food was delicious and the waiters were helpful in recommending the best dishes when trying to decide. All the waiters were friendly and had a smile on their face which always adds to the service. I would highly recommend a visit here if in Vienna.

This was one of the best meals of our trip! The food was outstanding and the cocktails delicious too. The service went above and beyond, special mention to our waiter Janos who was friendly, professional and helpful- giving great recommendations and even called us a taxi when it was raining at the end of the night. A perfect experience!

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here although I did find the steak to be quite fatty! That's due to the fact I had it medium done. The atmosphere was wonderful, service was good although at times we were left alone too long and we were waiting a while for the bill. Would definitely recommend as I thought the food was reasonably... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
