Amazing gluten free or normal, wheat-based pizza: thinnest base, yummy crust and great toppings, not too oily and the size just right. We will definitely become regulars at this restaurant!

My wife is gluten intolerant so a good pizza is hard to find. we picked your restaurant based on the positive reviews. i have to say they were absolutely spot on. she couldn't believe she was biting into a Gluten free Pizza. If we lived in Vienna we wouldn't bother going anywhere else.

I was really excited from this restaurant. The place is small and cosy. Stuff is really kind and the most important thing is, that they make great gluten free pizza. Honestly it was my second best gluten free pizza in my life. If I return to Wien i must visit this restaurant again. I advice you to make reservation.

A must for every GF traveler who loves Italian pizzas. We have ordered three different kinds and every single one was exceptional!

Made a quick stop in Vienna while in Europe and this restaurant was near our hotel so gave it a try. Had excellent pizza and pasta both. Ended up going a second night so family members who didn't get pizza first night could get it then. Besides great pizza, family members had spaghetti, ravioli, and tortellini which were all great.

We went to this pizzeria on the recommendation of a friend who lived in Vienna for many years. Great outdoor courtyard, authentic Italian food and close to Rathaus. Would eat here again as there are many choices and great ambience and good food. Very private and great service. We ordered the buffalo mozzarella and split a pizza- 1/2 pepperoni and... More

I think it's one of the best gluten free pizzas I've ever had. I live in California and no one does it that well. Oregon yes...but not Cali. On the other hand the gluten free beer was lacking. Wisconsin does it better. I was kinda hoping that it would be better in this beer haven. I would definitely come back... More

We visited twice on a four day trip - the food was delicious, and the fact that it was available gluten-free was a lifesaver for me. The service was sometimes a little slow, but the staff were incredibly friendly, and very understanding of coeliac disease!

There is a small courtyard at the back, a pleasant place to dine on a warm evening. Excellent very typical Italian food, with a good wine menu.

Staying in Josefstadt

Neighborhood Profile
The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theater, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighborhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicenter. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighborhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
