Not far from the Staatsoper, this traditional Austrian restaurant has a charm of a different age. It's spacious and quiet, and you can go in and read the papers - all provided free for patrons - and have a leisurely meal at a remarkably good...More

After walking round the beautiful city center of Vienna, we decided to stop and refresh with a nice warm coffee and cake. Service was very disappointing, the waiter was so rude that we were left with an uncomfortable feeling, not tourist friendly, when we received...More

There is nothing about this place that warrants a visit. Strudel was mushy and chocolate cake was dry and without flavor, we left both unfinished. I appreciated the minimal architectural elements, but overall this place was drab and tired. Head right across the street to...More

I'm a Viennese and like the Café Tirolerhof. It is quiet (well in the mornings before 9 am) and has an atmosphere conductive to reading or having an intellectual conversation with friends. Good newspaper collection for the avid reader.Drinks and food are what you expect...More
